  • Credited with developing some of college athletics’ most innovative events, which eventually led Michigan State to play North Carolina in basketball on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier in 2011
  • Hollis architected the  “BasketBowl” between Michigan State and Kentucky which led to a world record crowd of 78,129 at Ford Field in Detroit
  • His concept of placing a basketball court in the center of a football stadium has now been used at the last six NCAA Final Fours
  • In 2001, he produced the then-world record crowd of 74,554 at Michigan State’s Spartan Stadium where MSU and Michigan played an outdoor hockey game
