  • Founded and facilitated the University of Denver’s Gender Equity Task Force while also serving as a member of the NCAA’s Gender Equity Task Force in 1992
  • The University also established a Diane T. Wendt Equity Award to recognize outstanding contributions toward the advancement of equity within intercollegiate athletics
  • Wendt has won various awards including  the Women Leader of Excellence Award, Sportswomen of Colorado Leadership Award, National Association of Collegiate Women Administrators Outstanding Administrator for NCAA D-1AAA institutions, among others
  • The University of Denver graciously added the Diane Wendt Sports Fields for her contribution to the growth of athletics at DU
