A professional development initiative to support member athletics directors and senior level administrators as the intercollegiate athletics enterprise continues to evolve.

An annual professional development grant program that was reimagined and instituted in 2022, NACDA U provides the financial means for 200 athletics directors and 150 senior level administrators to attend specified NACDA events throughout the year. NACDA U reflects the Association's mission to provide educational opportunities and serve as a vehicle for networking, the exchange of information, and advocacy on behalf of the profession. The grant is managed on a reimbursement basis to the recipient's institution and allocates $1,000 for registration and travel expenses associated with each program or opportunity (NACDA Spring Symposium, NACDA & Affiliates Convention, and Senior Administrators Mentoring Institute). Applicants should be aware of the intended distribution of funds and prepared to attend the specified meeting(s) for which they are selected as a NACDA U recipient.
