James J. Corbett Memorial Award

2025 James J. Corbett Memorial Award Recipient – Kevin M. White, Duke, Notre Dame, Arizona State, Tulane, Maine, Loras (Iowa)

The James J. Corbett Memorial Award is presented annually to the collegiate administrator who "through the years has most typified Corbett's devotion to intercollegiate athletics and worked unceasingly for its betterment." The Corbett Award is the highest honor one can achieve in collegiate athletics administration.

In order to be considered for the award, a nominee must meet one of the following criteria:

  • If retired, nominee must have been a collegiate athletics administrator for a minimum of 10 years; OR
  • If still working, nominee must have at least 20 years as a collegiate athletics administrator
