FCS ADA and DI-AAA ADA Announces 2026-27 Fellows Class

Fellows Program Pairings Announced

CLEVELAND – The Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (FCS ADA) and Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association (DI-AAA ADA) announced its Fellows Program class. This program will provide a year-long opportunity to FCS and DI-AAA administrators that are ready to take the next step to assume an athletics director position.

The program pairs a Fellow with an athletics director mentor to address potential areas that they should focus on during the 10-month process, ranging from development, leadership strategies to sport oversight, along other skill areas. In addition, the Fellows class will meet monthly via zoom to discuss hot topics and hear from veteran leaders in the industry.

"We are excited to welcome the newest class of Fellows and continue investing in the development of future leaders in intercollegiate athletics," said FCS ADA President Sherryta Freeman, Director of Athletics at Lafayette College and DI-AAA ADA President Ed McLaughlin, Vice President and Director of Athletics at Virginia Commonwealth University. "The Fellows Program provides a meaningful opportunity for emerging professionals to learn from experienced administrators, build lasting relationships and gain valuable insight into the many facets of athletics leadership. By creating intentional opportunities for mentorship and professional development, we are helping prepare the next generation to lead with confidence, purpose and a commitment to advancing our industry."
