ORLANDO, Fla. – Nick Cenek of CSU Pueblo (RMAC) has been named the D2CIDA Men's Soccer National Player of the Week for his performance from October 13 to 19. The junior forward led the No. 23 ThunderWolves to a perfect 2-0 weekend, recording five goals and one assist across two matches.
Cenek opened the week with two goals and an assist in a 4-2 win over Adams State. He set up the first score of the match with his assist in the 20th minute before netting back-to-back goals in the 61st and 74th minutes. The Peoria, Illinois native then delivered a hat trick in a 5-0 road victory over No. 18 Fort Lewis, scoring in the 34th, 58th, and 87th minutes.
Entering the week with three goals and three assists, Cenek exploded for 11 total points (5 G, 1 A) on eight shots, placing six on target (.750 SOG %) and delivering one game-winning goal.
National Players of the Week are selected by a volunteer committee of Division II Conference Information Directors from a pool of nominations submitted by conference offices.
