FCS ADA Announces 2021 Academic All-Star Team

CLEVELAND – The Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (FCS ADA) has named 50 student-athletes to the 24th Annual Academic All-Star Team.

These 50 individuals were selected from a pool of 113 applicants. Leading the way was the Colonial Athletic Association, which placed eight student-athletes on the 2021 Academic All-Star Team. The Colonial Athletic Association was followed closely by the Ivy League, Missouri Valley Football Conference, and Patriot League, which each have six honorees.

Current FCS ADA President, Nicki Moore, Vice President and Director of Athletics at Colgate University, reflected, "Each year I've had the opportunity to review the profiles of the accomplished FCS student-athletes who have been nominated for this recognition, I've been humbled and encouraged by their stories and by the positive impact I expect each one will be making in their communities for years to come. The athletics directors of the FCS and I are so fortunate to be leaders for them and to support the powerful football experiences that have helped shape their development." Moore went on to say, "Among the many nominees, these who have been selected to the FCS ADA Academic All-Star Team are set apart even further, having demonstrated remarkable excellence in academics, in football, in the community, and in leadership roles. I extend my warmest congratulations to each of them, and I thank them for their tremendous contributions to our institutions."
