What is one of the greatest aspects of being involved in athletics?
One of the greatest aspects of being involved in athletics is seeing people grow — watching individuals and teams push past limits, build confidence, and achieve things they once thought were out of reach. It's incredibly rewarding to be part of an environment where effort, culture, and teamwork translate directly into visible progress. Just as meaningful is the opportunity to cultivate relationships across the industry; the connections you build with colleagues, coaches, and administrators become a powerful source of collaboration, support, and shared purpose
Most memorable sporting event attended?
Texas A&M – LSU in 2018: 7 Overtime Game ending in a 74-72 win for the Aggies. It was not only the best game I've ever witnessed but was also the first CFB game I ever attended. Additionally, this was the game that created the change in Overtime ruling for CFB format.
Favorite CABMA memory?
My favorite CABMA memory goes back to attending my first convention in 2025. That experience opened the door to meaningful conversations, genuine collaboration, and relationships that have continued to grow ever since. Connecting with colleagues across the country who truly understand the work we do has been one of the most energizing and rewarding parts of my career thus far.
What's the most important thing the CABMA membership should know about you?
The most important thing the CABMA membership should know about me is how much I value the relationships in this industry. Attending my first CABMA convention in 2025 taught me not to be afraid to put myself out there — to make impressions, ask questions, and volunteer for things that once felt outside my comfort zone. This organization thrives because of the strength and engagement of its members, and CABMA helped me realize that I can be one of those people who contributes, connects, and helps move our profession forward.
What are you looking forward to this academic year?
This academic year, I'm excited to continue building meaningful relationships across the industry while taking on new challenges at UT Arlington. Rolling out our inaugural NIL program has been a major milestone for our department, and being part of that launch has energized me for what's ahead. CABMA has played a big role in shaping how I show up in this profession — it pushed me to get involved, ask better questions, and engage more confidently with colleagues across the country. This year, I'm looking forward to stepping even further into that space and contributing in ways that help advance CABMA and support the next generation of leaders within our organization.
Book Recommendation?
Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less — Greg McKeown
Favorite Quote?
"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." "Your potential expands every time you step into a space you once thought wasn't meant for you." "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord…" — Colossians 3:23
Best piece of professional advice you've received?
"Ask questions. It is impossible to be curious without asking questions."
