Division I Learfield Standings - Final Winter

CLEVELAND
– Stanford University has almost a 65-point lead heading into the spring Learfield Directors' Cup standings. Stanford has tallied 917.50 total points, claiming the men's gymnastics national title, and tying for seventh in women's gymnastics.
 
The Michigan Wolverines moved up to second place with 852.75 points, while the North Carolina Tar Heels dropped to third place with 835.00 points.
 
The Wolverines finished third overall in men's gymnastics, 13th in women's gymnastics and third in men's ice hockey to break into the top two in the final winter standings.
 
Rounding out the top five is Ohio State in fourth with 788.75 points and Penn State in fifth with 756.00 points.
 
Penn State broke into the top five in the final winter standings after hovering close at the end of the fall season and the first set of winter scoring. The Nittany Lions have scored in 10 winter championships, including finishing tied for seventh overall in the most recent men's gymnastics championship and tied for ninth in men's ice hockey.
 
CONFERENCE
At the conference level, the ACC and Big Ten each lead all Division I conferences with four institutions in the top-10. ACC - Stanford (1st), North Carolina (3rd), Virginia (6th) and Notre Dame (10th). Big Ten - Michigan (2nd), Ohio State (4th), Penn State (5th) and Nebraska (8th).
