Division I Learfield Directors’ Cup Standings

North Carolina in the lead after the fall sports season

CLEVELAND – Less than 15 points separate the top two institutions in the final Learfield Directors' Cup fall standings for Division I with North Carolina leading the way with 359.00 total points.
 
North Carolina finished third in women's field hockey and earned a top 10 finish in women's soccer.
 
Rounding out the top five is Stanford in second with 346.50 points, along with – Virginia (third, 339.50 points), BYU (fourth, 309.50 points) and Notre Dame (301.00 points).
 
Stanford earned points in five fall sports, highlighted by top-10 finishes in men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball, men's water polo, and women's cross country. Virginia scored in six fall sports and posted three top-10 results in men's cross country, women's field hockey, and women's soccer. BYU registered points in five fall sports, led by a runner-up performance in women's cross country. Notre Dame scored points in five fall sports as well, including a top-10 finish in women's cross country.
 
CONFERENCE
At the conference level, the ACC leads all Division I conferences with nine institutions in the top-25.
