NACMA Board Retreat Recap

National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators

NACMA Officers, Board Members Come Together to Establish Roadmap for 2025-26 year at Annual Retreat

CLEVELAND, OH — The officers and board members of the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) held their annual retreat from July 10-11, charting the organization's course for the 2025-26 academic year.

With a commitment to ensuring NACMA continues to lead from the front as an organization, NACMA President and Assistant Vice President/Deputy Athletics Director at Fairfield University Zach Dayton, guided the officers and board through two days of discussions around goals for the upcoming year, a thorough review of member feedback and a deep dive into year-round programming and events.

"This is about our membership now more than ever," said Dayton. "Our organization must be focused on growing our membership, providing greater access to the tools, training and resources we provide year-round, and continuing to position NACMA as the destination for external-facing leaders. We challenged ourselves to answer questions like what our membership needs to be successful, how we streamline our programming for maximum reach and impact, and what it will take to continue driving our organization forward."

Members can continue to expect robust and relevant programming grounded in the organization's three pillars of Brand Management, Fan Development and Revenue Generation. A consistent schedule for the NACMA podcast will allow members to be more aware of when new episodes are released while quick-hitting social-first content highlighting "Best Of" award winners will provide key insights to all members looking for inspiration.

One particular area of enhanced focus will be live events focused on personal and professional development. After successful and well-received panels in Orlando at the 2025 NACMA Convention, members will experience deeper year-round programming around holistic growth and fulfillment beyond their day jobs.

"Year-round programming has always been a cornerstone of NACMA's approach to membership support," Dayton continued. "We're excited to roll out this year's initiatives and are confident members will benefit from this refreshed and streamlined approach."
