CLEVELAND – The Roadrunners of Rowan College of South Jersey-Gloucester County have won the 2023-2024 Learfield Directors' Cup for Two-Year Colleges. Iowa Western Community College finished second in this national competition and Mt. San Antonio College finished in third place in the closest competition in the twelve-year history of the Learfield Directors' Cup at the Two-Year College level.
RCSJ-Gloucester County (Sewell, NJ) earned their second Learfield Directors' Cup scoring 184.9 points. The Roadrunners used a NJCAA National Championship finish in baseball, second place finish in men's tennis, third place finish in women's tennis and fifth place finishes in men's soccer, women's cross country and women's outdoor track & field to win this year's Cup. The Roadrunners previously won the Learfield Directors' Cup in 2012-2013.
The Reivers of Iowa Western Community College (Council Bluffs, IA) scored 184.25 points to finish just .65 points out of first place. The Reivers used national championship performances in men's football and women's soccer, a tie for the championship in women's indoor track & field, a second place finish in men's bowling, and third place finishes in men's outdoor track & field, women's volleyball and bowling to earn their total of 184.25 points and propel them to this year's second place Learfield Directors' Cup finish. The Reivers have won the Learfield Directors' Cup on two occasions, 2013-2014 and 2021-2022.
Mt. San Antonio College (Walnut, CA) earned third place after finishing just 1.4 points out of first place and .75 points out of second place. The Mounties used championship performances in men's and women's cross country, men's wrestling and men's and women's track & field to help score 183.5 points. Mt. San Antonio won the Learfield Directors' Cup in 2014-2015.
The Learfield Directors' Cup Awards Program is sponsored by Learfield in conjunction with the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and the National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA).
