CLEVELAND - The
National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) has selected nine (9) athletics directors as the recipients of the CBIZ Borden Perlman grant program, for the 2026 NATYCAA Convention in Las Vegas, NV June 7-10.
"Thanks to the continued support of CBIZ Borden Perlman, NATYCAA is proud to offer nine individuals the opportunity to attend the NATYCAA Convention," said NATYCAA Past President
Colin Preston, Cypress College. "This year's applicant pool was exceptionally strong, and we are grateful for the ability to support the professional growth of our members through this meaningful partnership. We are also thrilled to recognize Rosalyn Tindel as this year's Kevin Vest Legacy Scholarship recipient."
The following NATYCAA members are recipients of the 2026 CBIZ Borden Perlman Sports Convention Grant:
- David Voortman, Modesto Junior College
- Jeff Willis, LSU Eunice
- Scott Norwood, Ranger College
- Gary Verón, Salt Lake Community College
- Christopher Brown, USC Salkehatchie
- Gabriel Billings, Wilbur Wright College
- Lupe Gonzales, Klamath Community College
- Daryl Shreve, Berkshire Community College
- Adrian Rigby, Dallas College North Lake
In addition to the athletics directors' grants, the Association implemented the Kevin Vest Legacy Scholarship in 2025 in conjunction with the NATYCAA Legacy Fund. The scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance for new members' attendance at the Convention. This scholarship aligns with Vest's belief in providing and supporting professional development opportunities for young athletics administrators, coaches, and staff.
The second annual recipient of the Kevin Vest Legacy Scholarship is
Rosalyn Tindel, director of athletics at Dallas College Cedar Valley. Tindel had the opportunity to meet Vest during her time as a head coach at Paris Junior College.
Grant recipients are awarded with a monetary stipend to help cover expenses associated with registration and travel to attend the 2026 NACDA Convention, June 7-10 at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas.
