CLEVELAND - The 2023-24 Learfield Directors' Cup season is coming to a close in the next few weeks and we have finalized the three NCAA winning institutions and the winning NAIA institution:
- Division I - University of Texas (baseball is still playing the College World Series, so final standings will be done following the championship)
- Division II - Grand Valley State University
- Division III - Johns Hopkins University
- NAIA - Cumberlands (Kentucky)
Complete Release ----- With one championship left, baseball, the
University of Texas has clinched the 2023-24 Learfield Directors' Cup. While baseball still needs to finish, Texas will receive points for making the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, and there are not enough points remaining for the schools to catch the Longhorns who have 1,339.50 total points.

Texas claimed two national titles – women's volleyball and women's rowing – while also tallying three runner-up finishes (women's swimming and diving, softball and men's tennis). Overall, Texas has scored in 3 of 4 countable sports (baseball not included), along with 15 additional total sports. Overall, one sport was omitted from the final standings, women's cross country.Â

Complete Release -----Â For the 16
th time in the Learfield Directors' Cup history,
Grand Valley State University (GVSU) will take home the hardware after compiling 983.00 total points in 20 total sports, including three of the four sports that must be counted. The Lakers took home the title in women's cross country and tallied a runner-up finish in men's indoor track and field. Due to scoring in the max number of 11 additional sports being counted, the following scores were omitted in the final total – wrestling, women's swimming and diving, women's lacrosse, softball, women's tennis and men's tennis.

Johns Hopkins University finishes first in the Learfield Directors' Cup standings. The Blue Jays totaled 1117.50 points as they scored in 18 total sports (3 of 4 countable sports), including nine teams with top-10 finishes. Johns Hopkins finished second in women's field hockey and third in women's indoor track and field.

Cumberlands (Kentucky) becomes just the 10
th different institution to take home the Learfield Directors' Cup, capturing first for the 2023-24 year with 985.50 overall points. The Patriots have finished in the top-10 each of the last two seasons, finishing sixth overall in the 2022-23 final standings and placing 10
th overall in 2021-22.

Overall, Cumberlands scored in 21 total sports, including all 4 sports that must be counted towards the final standings (women's basketball, men's basketball, men's soccer, and women's volleyball). Eight sports were omitted in the final standings – women's cross country, women's wrestling, women's swimming and diving, women's indoor track and field, men's wrestling, cheer, women's lacrosse and men's tennis - due to Cumberlands scoring in more (17) than the maximum number of countable sports allowed (9). The Patriots took home three national championships – women's soccer, men's indoor track and field and men's outdoor track and field.
The Learfield Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and
USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.
