CLEVELAND - The National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) has announced the University of North Carolina at Pembroke as its 2022 Unity Award recipient.

"We are honored to accept the inaugural NACMA Unity Award for our Never Walk Alone program," said Bull Slavin, assistant AD for marketing partnerships at UNC Pembroke. "The program was designed to create an inclusive and educational environment where our student body and greater fan base could come together and pledge to ensure that a member of #BraveNation will Never Walk Alone. As a Division II school, we are honored to be a finalist for this award alongside our Division 1 counterparts. Winning this award will be cherished in Pembroke for a long time to come."Â
In its inaugural year, the Unity Award recognizes the efforts in creating a marketing campaign or initiative that is associated with diversity and inclusion. The two finalists for the 2022 Unity Award were Temple and Virginia Tech.

The University of North Carolina at Pembroke was announced as the winner during the 2022 NACMA Convention on June 27.
