2022 NADIIIAA Administrator Award Winners

CLEVELAND - The National Association of Division III Athletic Administrators (NADIIIAA) has announced the recipients of this year's NADIIIAA Athletics Administrator Awards. The following individuals are the 2022 award recipients and will receive a $1,000 professional development grant.  
  • Emerging Athletic Administrator Award - presented to a professional with seven or fewer years of cumulative experience as a titled athletics administrator at the Division III level. 
    • Leslie Shevlin, Willamette University
  • Transitioning Athletic Administrator Award - presented to a professional(s) who transitioned from coaching or other professional duties to athletics administration with seven or fewer years of cumulative experience as a titled athletics administrator at the Division III level.
    • Glen Brittich, Elmhurst University
    • Jennifer Childress-White, Pacific Lutheran University (PLU)
Shevlin is in her third year as the associate AD/SWA at Willamette, moving over into administration after serving as the head swimming coach for nine years. Shevlin oversees compliance, student-athlete development, student-athlete success, day-to-day financial operations and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Prior to Willamette, Shevlin was an assistant swimming coach at the University of New Mexico. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and her master's degree from Duquesne University. For complete bio information, please click here.

Brittich was named Elmhurst's athletics director in December 2021, after spending the previous six months as the interim AD. Since taking over, the Bluejays have seen increased levels of success both in the classroom and athletically with an increase in the department's overall GPA and both team and individual athletics success, including a national runner-up finish in men's basketball. Brittich spent two years as Elmhurst's assistant AD (2019-21). Prior to moving into administration, Brittich spent the previous 14 years as a football coach - seven seasons at Elmhurst with previous coaching stops at Hope College, Carthage College, Eastern Michigan University, Grand Valley State University and Adams State College. In April 2013, Childress-White joined the PLU athletics staff as the head women's basketball coach and transitioned to assistant athletics director and SWA in the spring of 2020. Additionally, Childress-White serves as the department's compliance officer, SAAC advisor, and the University Title IX Coordinator. Prior to PLU, Childress-White spent seven years as an assistant coach for women's basketball at Western Washington University and four years at California State University, San Bernardino. Childress-White graduated from George Fox University where she was a three-sport athlete, later earning a master's degree in education from City University. All award winners will be recognized during the Association Business Meeting at the NADIIIAA Summer Forum, held at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas on Monday, June 27.
