Division I LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup Standings

CLEVELAND
– Seven points separate the DI leader, Michigan, and second place Notre Dame in the first winter LEARFIELD Directors' Cup fall standings. The Wolverines lead with 761 total points, while the Fighting Irish tallied 754.00 points.

Michigan had a strong showing in the winter championships to date with four top-10 finishes (men's & women's basketball, women's swimming and wrestling). Seven total teams earned the Wolverines points to date.

Notre Dame ended the fall season in second and kept steady in that spot for the winter, scoring in seven of 11 sports scored through last weekend. The Fighting Irish took home the fencing championship this winter and women's basketball finished tied-ninth.

Rounding out the top-five is Ohio State in third with 701.50 points, Stanford in fourth with 690.50 points and Texas in fifth with 679.50 points.

The Buckeyes took home the women's ice hockey crown and three additional top-10 showings (fencing, men's and women's swimming & diving.

Stanford recorded a pair of third place finishes in both women's basketball and swimming & diving and a seventh-place finish in men's swimming & diving.

Texas has scored in six sports to date, including three runner-up finishes (men's and women's swimming & diving and women's indoor track and field) and took home the men's indoor track and field title.

CONFERENCE
At the conference level, the SEC leads all Division I conferences with seven institutions in the top-25 – Kentucky (9th), Arkansas (10th), Tennessee (11th), Alabama (12th), Ole Miss (14th), Florida (21st) and LSU (24th).

The winter Division I LEARFIELD Directors' Cup standings will be updated will be published in late April following the men's and women's gymnastics championships.
