Final DI Fall Standings ----- Final DI Fall Conference Standings
CLEVELAND – Less than 30 points separate the top four institutions in the final LEARFIELD Directors' Cup fall standings for Division I with
BYU leading the way with 368 total points.
BYU has a pair of runner-up finishes, women's cross country and women's soccer and a pair of top-10 finishes, men's cross country and women's volleyball.
Rounding out the top-five is
Notre Dame in second with 360 points, along with a trio of Big Ten institutions –
Michigan (third, 354 points),
Wisconsin (fourth, 339.50 points) and
Penn State (298 points).
The Fighting Irish scored in five total fall sports, tallying top-10 finishes in men's and women's cross country, FBS football, and men's and women's soccer.
The Wolverines tallied points in six fall sports, including three top-five finishes – field hockey, FBS football and women's soccer.
Wisconsin took home the women's volleyball title, while also scoring in four other fall sports.
The Nittany Lions recorded points in seven fall sports, with a pair of top-10 finishes, field hockey and women's soccer.
CONFERENCE
At the conference level, the
ACC leads all Division I conferences with seven institutions in the top-25.
