CLEVELAND - The
National Association of Division III Athletic Administrators (NADIIIAA) has announced the recipients of this year's NADIIIAA Athletics Administrator Awards. The following individuals are the 2021 award recipients and will receive a $1,000 professional development grant.
- Emerging Athletic Administrator Award - presented to a professional with seven or fewer year's cumulative experience as a titled athletics administrator at the Division III level.
- Megan Haughey, Stevens Institute of Technology (Stevens)
- Transitioning Athletic Administrator Award - presented to a professional who has transitioned from coaching or other professional duties to athletic administration and who has seven or fewer year's cumulative experience as a titled athletics administrator at the Division III level.
- Jessica Seren, SUNY Geneseo
Haughey serves as the SWA/Associate AD/Head Women's Basketball Coach at Stevens. In 2012 Haughey arrived on campus as the basketball coach and added administrative roles to her resume in August 2017. Haughey has led various department initiatives to help the department operate more efficiently, while also introducing departmental committees that have enabled the coaches and staff to work together and contribute to a wide range of programs and activities. Seren enters her fourth year as assistant athletics director/SWA in 2021-22, previously serving as the head field hockey coach for 10 years. She has held the SWA title since 2015. Seren coordinates several departmental initiatives, including most recently the Athletic Connecting, Coping and Encouraging during Pandemic Times (ACCEPT), which focused on programming for student-athletes' mental health.
