CLEVELAND — The National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A) has selected three new Division Directors for the 2021-23 term of service.
The N4A Board of Directors has elected Shanika Mungin, Florida State University, Liz Reyes, University of Illinois and Kristin Rusboldt, UNC Greensboro as the three new Division Directors.
"The N4A Executive Team would like to welcome our newest Division Directors to the Board," said Ursula Gurney, N4A President and Deputy Director of Athletics/SWA, University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). "We look forward to the leadership of Shanika Mungin, Liz Reyes and Kristin Rusboldt. We would also like to thank our outgoing Division Directors for their time, energy, and commitment to our Association. The leadership of their respective Divisions was outstanding and allowed us to advance forward during unprecedented times. Thank you Dr. Kacy King, Mark Trumbo and Dr. Kayleigh McCauley-Sayer."
Mungin will serve as the division director for diversity, equity, and inclusion, Reyes will serve as the student-athlete enhancement division director, and Rusboldt will serve as the division director for academic & learning services.
Division Directors are responsible for oversight of committees and for reporting all critical developments to the board of directors and executive committee. Division Directors are expected to advise committee and working group chairs in accordance with the strategic plan, encourage efficiency and collaboration, while developing emerging leaders within N4A.Â
The newly elected N4A Division Directors will serve a two-year term and actively participate on the Board of Directors. In addition to Gurney, the N4A Board of Directors is currently led by: 1st Vice President Ashton Henderson, Detroit Pistons; 2nd Vice President Jackie Nicholson, Albany State University and Past President Denise Poole, Penn State University. Also serving on the N4A Board of Directors are: Erica Cenci, University of Washington; Kim Durand, University of Washington; Jessica Goerke, UC Santa Barbara; Adam Hatem, Clemson University; Dr. Kacy King, Florida State University; Dr. Ashley Kuhn, Florida Gulf Coast University; Dr. Joe Luckey, University of Cincinnati; Kimya Massey, Oregon State University; Dr. Kayleigh McCauley-Sayer, Lewis & Clark College; Marisol Quiroz, University of Arizona; Mindy Reger, New York University; Dr. Brian Russell, University of Illinois; Dr. Joe Scogin, University of Tennessee; Mark Trumbo, Syracuse University; Ryan Westman, New York University; and Brett Wohlers, University of Texas.
