CLEVELAND – The National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A) has released results from the 2025 N4A Directors Survey, marking the next iteration of an ongoing national research effort designed to monitor trends, inform N4A membership, and support continued engagement with stakeholders.
Distributed in April 2025 to more than 500 academic support and student-athlete development leaders, the survey provides a snapshot of how institutions are navigating a rapidly changing collegiate landscape. Building on prior administrations, this data allows N4A to track shifts over time related to staffing, budgets, programming, facilities, admissions processes, and institutional responses to ongoing changes in higher education and intercollegiate athletics.
The survey examines twelve key focus areas:
Academic Support Focus Areas
- Institutional Profile
- Budget and Staffing
- Facility Use
- Study Hall and Tutoring
- Summer School
- Admissions, Enrollment & Certification
- Responding to the Changing Landscape (Academic Support)
Student-Athlete Development Focus Areas

- N4A White Paper Integration
- Responding to the Changing Landscape (Student-Athlete Development)
