Where Are You Now? Mary El and I continue to live in San Luis Obispo. We built a new home as I was retiring in 2001.

Career Highlights? 

• Title IX Investigation. I was off probation in two years. I learned a lot and was able to share with related associations.
• Being a part of planning and building a new campus
• Being a part of expanding an athletic program after football was discontinued by the Board of Trustees
• Being involved in State and National athletics directors associations

Advice to Current Athletics Administrators? Who am I to advise as times are changing rapidly with many new issues. However, I continue to believe that you cannot error by "operating by the book," placing a premium on academics and treating your colleagues and athletes with care adn respect. 

Favorite College/Professional Sports Teams? University of Northern Iowa, Big Ten teams and Underdog teams (especially mid-majors). I am not very interested in professional sports. 

Favorite Retired Activity? Hiking, biking, traveling, yard work and wood working (especially the lathe) 

Favorite Memory from NATYCAA events? Renewing contacts with friends from across the nation and sharing ideas with each other. Many have similar challenges and many different methods of solving.
