CLEVELAND – The
National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) has selected
Ryan Ivey, director of athletics at Stephen F. Austin State University, to serve as President for the 2019-20 membership year.
"I am grateful for the honor and privilege to serve the NACMA membership," stated
Ivey. "NACMA has been an amazing and positive influence in my life and professional career and I look forward to having the opportunity to help pay it forward. We have an exceptional Board that is membership centered, and I look forward working beside such an outstanding group of administrators to help move our Association forward."
Ivey takes the reins from
Brian Hicks, associate AD for external relations at Xavier University, who will transition to the role of Immediate Past President. Serving alongside
Ivey will be: 1
st Vice President,
Michael Thompson, deputy AD for external relations & business development at Ole Miss, 2nd Vice President,
Brian Bowsher, associate AD, chief marketing officer at the University of Washington and the NACMA Officers welcome
Carrie Blankenship, senior associate AD – external operations, University of Maryland, as the 3rd vice president for the 2019-20 membership year.
The Officers are joined by the NACMA Board of Directors, which will consist of:
Bethany Cordell, associate AD for marketing, Montana State University;
Markeisha Everett, assistant AD of marketing, University of Pittsburgh;
Tyler Jones, assistant AD, fan engagement, The Ohio State University;
Erin Kraebber, associate AD – marketing, UAB;
Doug Lipinski, deputy AD – external relations, Grand Valley State University;
Lauren Taylor, director of marketing and competition, Southeastern Conference; and
Brad Wurthman, senior associate AD, external operations at Virginia Tech.
NACMA welcomes
Leah Beasley, executive senior associate AD/external affairs at Mississippi State University;
John Brewer, assistant AD for marketing and sales at the University of Oregon; and
Sara Elcano, associate AD, fan engagement & revenue generation at Oregon State University to the Board of Directors for the 2019-20 membership year.
