2018-19 Final Daktronics Cup Standings

CLEVELAND - The National Alliance of Two Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) has released the final 2018-19 Daktronics Cup standings.

For an unprecedented ninth time, Iowa Central Community College captures the Daktronics Cup with 185.50 total points, winning the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Scholarship Division by a 26-point margin. In the NJCAA Non-Scholarship Division, Suffolk County Community College dethrones defending champion Rowan College at Gloucester County, with 152.00 total points, while Mt. San Antonio College repeats as champion of the State Associations Division by amassing 162.00 total points. Finally, in the prestigious Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup, Iowa Central CC, defends its title with 191.50 total points.

SCHOLARSHIP DIVISION
Iowa Central CC captures its ninth Scholarship Division title in 10 years with 185.50 total points, followed by Barton CC with 159.50 total points in second and Iowa Western CC in third with 145.50 points. South Plains College (4th) and Monroe College (NY) (5th) round out the top-five with 129.50 and 125.00 total points, respectively.

NON-SCHOLARSHIP DIVISION
Suffolk CCC successfully defends its title with 152.00 total points followed by Rowan College at Gloucester County in second with 131.00 points and Herkimer CC with 109.50 total points in third. Onondaga CC remains fourth to close the year with 107.50 points followed by Harper College with 96.00 total points in fifth.

STATE ASSOCIATION DIVISION
Mt. San Antonio College (162.00 pts.) holds off runner-up Community Colleges of Spokane (159.50 pts.) to capture its second consecutive State Association Division title and seventh in program history. CC of Spokane edged out Riverside College (3rd) by a half-a-point, while Fresno City College and Sierra College close the 2018-19 campaign in fourth and fifth with 152.00 and 146.50 points respectively.

NATYCAA_DaktronicsStandings for the Daktronics Cup are calculated three times over the course of the academic year; once at the end of the fall, once following the conclusion of the winter seasons and finally after the spring sports seasons. The Daktronics Cup winners were formally recognized at the NATYCAA Awards Luncheon as part of the annual NATYCAA Convention in conjunction with the NACDA and Affiliates Convention in Orlando, Florida.
