JASON HARARY

Harary's accolades in the classroom and the pool are exceptional. A Brea, California native, Harary boasts a cumulative gpa of 3.82 and has been named to the President's List three times as a business major. In the water, he currently holds multiple program records and is the defending California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) champion in the grueling 400-yard individual medley. At the 2018 CCCAA championship meet, Harary garnered nine All-American honors including five individual events and four relay races en route to being named the Mt. San Antonio Spring Student-Athlete of the Year. Out of the water, Harary volunteers through his church's Bread of Angels Program that helps feed the homeless and for Mt. San Antonio College's Swim Invite Series for high schoolers. At the conclusion of the academic year, Harary plans to transfer to Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis (IUPUI), where he will major in tourism, conventions and event management on an athletics scholarship.
Â
"The prestigious NATYCCA Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award is a well-deserved honor for Jason Harary," stated
Joe Jennum, dean & director of athletics in the kinesiology, athletics & dance division at Mt. San Antonio College. "He has excelled in the classroom, in the pool and in our community. He is a record-setting champion of our men's swimming team and embodies all that is great about student-athletes. We are proud of his accomplishments and congratulate all of the nominees for their outstanding contributions to their schools."
PAIGE MOSER

During her time at IWCC, Moser claimed numerous regional and national honors, all while maintaining a perfect gpa. A native of Preston, Idaho, Moser owns a perfect 4.0 gpa as an exercise science major. As a midfielder for the Reivers, she appeared in 39 matches with 32 starts, tallied 11 goals and two assists en route to a pair of Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) all-region honors. A two-time ICCAC Region XI All-Tournament Team selection, Moser has garnered ICCAC All-Academic honors and United Soccer Coaches Academic All-American laurels. She helped the Reivers capture back-to-back Region XI and District titles, leading to consecutive national tournament appearances. In her final year, Moser helped lead Iowa Western CC to a third-place finish at the NJCAA National Championships and the NJCAA National Tournament Sportsmanship Award.
Â
"This is a great honor. Paige is the epitome of what we strive our student-athletes to be and achieve," stated
Jeremy Capo, director of athletics at Iowa Western Community College. "She excelled at the highest levels academically, athletically, and socially. Paige is a true competitor and servant leader who embodies what being a Reiver is truly about. I am proud to be a part of her story. There is no doubt that whatever she chooses to do in life, it will harvest great things for not just herself but those she serves as well."
