CLEVELANDÂ - For the 12th year in a row, the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD) has announced the recipients of its Diversity Initiative Program. Recipients receive Convention stipends to attend the 2018 NAADD Convention, as well as the Fundamentals of Athletic Development (FOAD) sessions, which will take place from June 28-30 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Washington D.C.
Â
"On behalf of the NAADD Executive Committee, I would like to congratulate all of our 2018 stipend recipients! We had another group of strong applicants and we are very proud of the fact we can play a small part in their career development. The Diversity Initiate Program is one that we are very proud of and we want to continue to place a strong emphasis on the importance of this program. For many Development professionals in this field like myself, the NAADD Diversity Initiative Program has made a tremendous impact on the growth in our industry," said NAADD Executive Committee Member Markus Jennings, Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs at Sacramento State. "The Diversity Initiative Program began with the first class in 2007. The selection committee has done a tremendous job of planning this year's Convention in Washington DC that will include a reception including our past winners along with this year's class!"
