NAADD Announces the Bobby Purcell Mentor Program Class of 2026

CLEVELAND —The National Association of Athletics Development Directors (NAADD) is proud to announce the Bobby Purcell Mentor Program Class of 2026, continuing its commitment to preparing and empowering the next generation of leaders in intercollegiate athletics development.

Named in honor of former NAADD President Bobby Purcell, the mentor program is one of the association's signature professional development initiatives. The program is designed to foster meaningful mentorship, encourage career growth, and strengthen the pipeline of athletics development professionals across the country.

Each year, selected participants are paired with mentors who are current and former members of the NAADD Executive Committee, offering mentees direct access to experienced leaders who have helped shape both the association and the broader athletics development profession. Through structured engagement, one-on-one mentorship, and a visit to their mentor's campus, participants gain valuable insight into leadership development, fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and career progression within the athletics advancement profession.

"The Bobby Purcell Mentor Program represents the intentional investment NAADD continues to make in the future of our profession," said Grant Kelly, NAADD President. "This immersive experience allows emerging leaders to learn directly from those who have served our industry at the highest level. By building authentic relationships and providing real-world exposure, this program helps prepare participants to lead with purpose, integrity, and a deep understanding of athletics advancement."

The Class of 2026 represents a broad cross-section of institutions, conferences, and professional backgrounds, underscoring NAADD's national reach and continued commitment to professional development.
