Assistant Director of Development

Northern Illinois University, member of the Mid-American Conference and sponsor of 17 Division I sports, is seeking applications for the full time position of Assistant Director of Development. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the development arm of the Athletics Department with primary responsibilities including prospect identification, cultivation, management and solicitation of annual gifts between $500 and $2,500. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with capital campaigns, coordinating special events, oversight of the Athletic Varsity Club and Young Alumni Program, and game day hospitality for guests of the Athletics Department with an emphasis on customer service.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; one year experience in athletic development, sales or marketing; excellent oral and written communication and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree; intercollegiate athletics development experience highly desirable; NIU alum or former NIU student-athlete.
