Additional Information

Purpose of position Assist the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing with the administration and operation of the athletics marketing office.

Essential functions: Assist with the development and implementation of promotional plans for ticketed sports (excluding football); contribute to the development of promotional budget; assist with acquiring bids and ordering product. Assist with developing and marketing to potential general public audience and contacts; assist with implementation of student targeted Rewards Program; assist with advertising production. Manage Kids Club program. May drive a personal or UT vehicle on campus and off. Assist with managing game day marketing operations including but not limited to PAs, scripting video boards, promotions and special presentations; assist with day-to-day needs of corporate sponsors Schedule, manage, and integrating student workers. Assist in developing slides and run schedules for slides on athletics video boards. Assist in development and execution of marketing strategies. Writing and proofreading.

Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.

Marginal/Incidental functions Other related functions as assigned.

Required qualifications Bachelors degree. Minimum of two years experience developing and implementing collegiate athletic marketing programs. Demonstrated ability to craft marketing messages. Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and through written communication to various constituencies. Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word. Demonstrated proficiency in graphics software. Excellent interpersonal skills. Team player. Professional demeanor.

Preferred qualifications Masters degree in marketing, business, sport management or related field; or Bachelors Degree and minimum of three years experience developing and implementing collegiate athletic marketing programs. Experience with Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign. Division I collegiate marketing experience. More than the required experience. Experience overseeing and managing student workers at athletic events. Experience working with marketing rights holder. Experience marketing sports and developing and implementing promotional activities. Demonstrated teamwork. Excellent oral, written, organizational skills. Outstanding employment references.

Working conditions: May work in all weather conditions. May work in extreme temperatures. May work around standard office conditions. Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation. Use of manual dexterity. Climbing of stairs. Climbing of ladders. Lifting and moving.
