Applications Now Open for the 2026 Rising Star Academy

CLEVELAND - The MOAA Board is excited to announce that applications are now being accepted for this year's MOAA Rising Star Academy. The MOAA Rising Star Academy is designed specifically to support the early career development of promising athletic administrators through virtual and in person educational sessions and workshops.

Academy Goal
The MOAA Rising Star Academy emphasizes professional development for participants through the academic year, both personally and professionally, with a purpose of providing entry level administrators, early (0-5 yrs) in their careers, how to add value to their brand, position themselves for their next career move, and enlighten individuals on the "unwritten rules" of the industry. MOAA is committed to investing in its membership and future industry leaders. This program is an amazing opportunity for young professionals to receive personalized training from respected industry veterans who find themselves answering this frequently asked question, including but not limited to, "What do you know now that you wish you would have known when you first started your career in athletics?"

Participant Selection
The MOAA Rising Star Academy is designed specifically to support the early career of promising athletic administrators through educational sessions and workshops throughout the academic year. Each year participants of the program will be selected by a combination or self-nominations applications and MOAA Board of Directors nomination applications.  Each cohort will have a maximum of 10 participants to provide deep connection. Note:
