CLEVELAND – In partnership with our program sponsor, Anthony Travel, CABMA is excited to mark the successful completion of the second year of the Emerging Leaders Growth & Inclusion Program for the 2024-25 academic year. The program was created to recognize contributions to CABMA, and to facilitate individual growth and inclusive leadership; and through everyone involved, we were able to further establish this new program and its impact on CABMA and the program participants.
We are very proud of the commitment and energy displayed from our second-year participants listed below:
- Jonathan Deandrade, Associate Athletic Director, Wesleyan University
- Rohan Paul, Athletics Business Operations Analyst, Kent State Univeristy
- Nicole Boyett, Reporting Analyst, Anthony Travel (selected while on staff at Oklahoma)
"We have been honored to support the CABMA Growth and Inclusion Program over the last two years under the guidance of CABMA and WellsQuest. This program aligns with Anthony Travel's values of helping rising leaders in college athletics grow through travel, connection, and hands-on learning. We are proud to welcome our largest class yet with four new participants and look forward to another year of collective growth." – Jim O'Connor, Senior Vice President, Anthony Travel
Each participant was provided with a stipend to travel to a location of their choice to meet with staff and leaders at other institutions and organizations in college athletics. Additionally, programming was provided throughout the year including multiple sessions by CABMA Past President and West Virginia Deputy AD, Dr. Omar Banks. We were also very fortunate to have one session led by Anthony Travel founder, John Anthony, and the final session led by Janelle Wells and Doreen MacAulay of
WellsQuest. To cap it off, all of the participants were able to connect further at the 2025 Convention in Orlando.
Now going into our third year, we are excited to enhance our programming with WellsQuest creating and leading the curriculum while also increasing the number of participants to four members. Dr. Wells and Dr. MacAulay of WellsQuest are long-time contributors to CABMA and true professionals with unique passion, expertise, and experience to lead this program. CABMA Past Presidents Tim McCleary and Omar Banks will continue to assist with the administration, programming, and be a resource for the participants.
During the Convention we announced our 2025-26 class listed below and we are eager to kick off the program:
- Domenica Jones, Associate Athletic Director – Human Resources, University of South Florida
- Jacques Wells, Senior Associate Athletic Director Business Strategy, Bradley University
- Tiffany Howard, Associate Director of Travel Management, NCAA
- Aly Hinton, Associate Athletic Director- Business Operations, Drexel University
Additionally, we recognized Jones as the winner of the 2025 CABMA Emerging Leader award.
We hope this is just one of many ways CABMA can make a meaningful impact on its members. As we look ahead and invite our members to help shape and grow CABMA's future, we leave you with reflections from last year's participants on their experiences as part of this transformational program.
I truly appreciate what CABMA, WellsQuest and Anthony Travel has orchestrated through this Growth & Inclusion program. In an industry where you put in so much time & effort towards serving others, this program provides you the opportunity to focus on becoming the best version of yourself, both personally and professionally. I think what's great about this program is you can tailor this to what's best for your personal and professional growth as a leader, it doesn't necessarily have to be collegiate athletics driven. This Growth & Inclusion program allowed me to seek out what selfless leadership looks like by spending a day with U.S. Coast Guard Lieutenant Commanders and seeing how they cultivate a culture of care & accountability through servant leadership. That experience will stick with me forever and I'm thankful for this opportunity that was provided to me." Jonathn Deandrade, Wesleyan University.
"I'm so appreciative of the opportunity to continue to be involved with CABMA in such a special way. I am grateful for the support that this program offers members and the way that you can shape the experience to uniquely fuel your professional growth. I extend my thanks to everyone who was involved in creating and maintaining this program — especially to Anthony Travel for their continued support and investment in the growth of CABMA and its members — and to colleagues across the country who have opened their doors to us." Nicole Boyett, Reporting Analyst, Anthony Travel
"Participating in the CABMA Emerging Leader Program has been a truly transformative journey. The opportunity to visit other institutions and learn from program leaders who generously poured into our growth broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of inclusive leadership in collegiate athletics. These experiences challenged me to grow both professionally and personally, while building meaningful connections across the industry. A heartfelt thank you to CABMA and Anthony Travel for making this impactful experience possible through their generous support and commitment to developing future leaders." Rohan Paul, Athletics Business Operations Analyst, Kent State University
