CLEVELAND - The
National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) has selected eight (8) athletics administrators, including seven (7) athletics directors as the recipients of the CBIZ Borden Perlman grant program, for the 2025 NATYCAA Convention in Orlando, Florida, June 8-11.
"With the generous support of CBIZ Borden Perlman, we are delighted to provide seven individuals the opportunity to attend the NATYCAA Convention," said NATYCAA President
Colin Preston, Cypress College. "We had an outstanding pool of candidates to consider and deeply appreciate the chance to invest in our members, made possible through this valued partnership. We are also excited to announce our inaugural Kevin Vest Legacy Scholarship recipient, Kelsi Weeks."
The following NATYCAA members are recipients of the 2025 CBIZ Borden Perlman Sports Convention Grant:
- Isaac Bushey, Corning Community College
- Nick Cichielo, State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota
- Cody Cole, Seward County Community College
- Diana Couch, Lincoln Land Community College
- Randy Lee, Polk State College
- Kevin Lynum, Jackson State Community College
- John Meeks, Vincennes University
In addition to the athletics directors' grants, the Association has implemented the Kevin Vest Legacy Scholarship in conjunction with the NATYCAA Legacy Fund. The scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance for new members' attendance at the Convention. This scholarship aligns with Vest's belief in providing and supporting professional development opportunities for young athletics administrators, coaches, and staff.
The inaugural recipient of the Kevin Vest Legacy Scholarship is
Kelsi Weeks, director of athletics at Indian Hills Community College. Vest was a mentor and friend to Weeks s during her time at Tyler Junior College.
Grant recipients are awarded with a monetary stipend to help cover expenses associated with registration and travel to attend the 2025 NACDA Convention, June 8-11 at the World Center Marriott Resort in Orlando, Florida.
