Maceo Williams of Ashland University has been selected as this week's national player of the week by the NCAA Division II Conference Information Directors of America for the week of Nov. 17-23.

Williams averaged a double-double with 22.3 points and 10 rebounds per game in three Eagle wins last week, recording at least 20 points in all three victories. He finished with 22 points on nine-of-14 shooting with six rebounds, three assists in two steals in a 89-69 win over Salem and followed that with a 25-points, 11-rebound performance with three assists and two steals in a 82-80 win at Indiana (Pa.). Williams made eight of his 11 field goal attempts in that game and did so the next day as well in an 87-79 win over Pittsburgh-Johnstown, a game in which he finished with 20 points, 13 rebounds and two steals.
Williams shot 69 percent from the field in the three contests, while also making 17-of-23 at the free throw line, recording seven assists, a blocked shot and four steals for the 4-1 Eagles. He was selected as the Player of the Week in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
