CLEVELAND - The National Association of Athletic Ticket Sales & Operations (NAATSO) has announced the University of Central Florida (UCF) as its inaugural Ticket Team of the Year presented by Choice Sports recipient.

"Congratulations to the UCF team for winning the inaugural NAATSO Ticket Team of the Year presented by Choice Sports," said NAATSO President Andrew Schoepfer. "We are excited to highlight our members who have excelled across revenue generation, innovation, and collaboration initiatives in their departments, and thank everyone who submitted nominations for this award. Brooke and her team achieved incredible results this year and we are proud to be able to present them with this well-deserved honor.

UCF ticketing set both sales records and revenue records across all 8 ticketed sports in 2023. They sold out of season tickets for the first time in history for volleyball and softball.

• Anytime season ticket sales program increased almost 200% since its inception in 2017 and increased over 100% this year alone.
• Innovative parking strategy YOY increase generated over $1 million which is a 115% increase from the previous year. 
• Ticket sales and operations team generated an additional $140,335 in 2023 through online renewals and outbound sales efforts for the Big 12 transition fund.

"Our ticket team is the revenue foundation of our organization, driving fan engagement and revenue growth thanks to their dedication and cutting-edge strategies," said Terry Mohajir, vice president and director of athletics at UCF. "This team is not just about selling tickets, but they're key players in our fundraising efforts, actively engaging with supporters to help the athletics department maximize its potential."

In its first year, the Ticket Team of the Year Award sponsored by Choice Sports Group recognizes the outstanding ticketing efforts across departments, divisions, and conferences.

UCF was announced as the winner during the 2024 NAATSO Convention on June 10.
