CLEVELAND – The
Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association (CEFMA) has selected
Derek Doolittle, assistant general manager at The Rose Bowl, as President for the 2023-24 membership year.
Doolittle will begin his term on the heels of an association wide vote in favor of a shift in the leadership structure. This change increased the number of individuals serving as part of the newly named Executive Leadership Team. Two additional board members will oversee Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Communications, with a goal of enhancing CEFMA's efforts in those areas.
"The strength of CEFMA has always been in its membership," said Doolittle. "The opportunity to lead an organization that has provided me with so many opportunities for growth and development is truly humbling. From our vantage point on the board, we will work diligently to provide worthwhile opportunities to promote learning, growth, and connection amongst our membership as we continue to position ourselves for a bright future. I would also like to recognize the efforts of outgoing President Julie Cribbs, who did a terrific job in strengthening the foundation of our organization, while also pushing us even further forward. There are few in this industry that I have more respect and admiration for than Julie, and on behalf of the entire CEFMA community, I thank her for an incredible year of service."
Doolittle replaces
