ACE New Professional Mentoring Group

CLEVELAND - The National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) Professional Development Committee has announced the Annual Athletic Compliance Elite (ACE) Mentoring Program for 2023-24.

The New Professional Mentoring track is designed to match new compliance professionals with senior-level mentors to encourage growth, retention and inclusion in the compliance industry.
 
** The Professional Development Committee will host exclusive programming in the summer and during the 2023-24 academic year, which all mentors and mentees are required to attend. 

Participants will be selected and notified in May to attend the ACE Mentoring Program sessions. DEADLINE to apply is April 14. 




Apply HERE to be a MENTEE 

Mentees must satisfy the following: 

  • between one (1) and three (3) years of full-time experience working in NCAA Compliance 

**Interns and graduate assistants are not eligible for this program but are highly encouraged to participate in other NAAC professional development opportunities 
throughout the academic year.

 
Expectations: 

  • Participate in all programming provided through the ACE Mentoring Program. 

  • Frequent, regular interaction with assigned mentor. 

  • Eager to develop a mentor/mentee relationship based in trust and shared willingness to help each other develop professionally. 

  • Provide feedback to NAAC and the PD committee when requested.

Mentors must satisfy the following: 

  • should have between two (2) years of supervisory experience for full-time compliance staff or conference office with a minimum of seven (7) years of full-time experience working in NCAA compliance 

Expectations: 

  • Participate in all programming provided through the ACE Mentoring Program. 

  • Invest in the development of assigned mentee with frequent, regular interaction. 

  • Eager to develop a mentor/mentee relationship based in trust and shared willingness to help each other develop professionally. 

  • Provide feedback to NAAC and the PD committee when requested. 

*There is a $500 stipend available to mentees that may be used for the in person NAAC Convention OR for a professional development trip to their mentor's university.
