AUGUSTA, GA – After averaging 32 points per game on the week and shooting over 64 percent from the floor, the
University of Minnesota Duluth's (UMD)
Brooke Olson has been selected as the D2CIDA Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of January 16-22.

The graduate student opened the week with a 29-point, 11-rebound double-double on the road at Sioux Falls. She followed it up with 35 points at Southwest Minnesota State, going 15-of-21 from the field.

Olson has now gone over 20 points in nine games this season, including reaching the 30-point plateau on three occasions. Her 20.3 points per game lead the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), and she ranks 10th in NCAA Division II. The Rice Lake, Wis., native also paces all DII with 157 field goals.
