CLEVELAND - Iowa Central Community College is the winner of the 2020-21 LEARFIELD Directors' Cup for Two-Year Colleges. For the Tritons from Fort Dodge, Iowa, this marks the fifth consecutive first place finish in this national program which was first established in 2011-12.Â
Iowa Central used national championship performances in men's cross country and women's bowling, as well as second place national finishes in men's swimming, bowling, and indoor track & field. The Tritons also took home third place finishes in women's volleyball, swimming, outdoor track & field and men's wrestling to help them obtain their winning total of 185 points. Â
The Reivers of Iowa Western Community College (Council Bluffs, Iowa) scored 178.5 points to finish second in this national competition, followed by the Cougars of Barton Community College (Great Bend, Kansas) who scored 160 points to finish in third place. Tyler Junior College (Tyler, Texas) scored 157.5 points and Cowley College (Arkansas City, Kansas) scored 143 points to round out the top five in this year's LEARFIELD Directors' Cup standings.Â

Colleges are allowed to use their top five finishes per gender at their highest level of competition to earn points for the LEARFIELD Directors' Cup. The champions in each sport earn 20 points, second place scores 19, third place 18 and so on.Â
Along with NACDA, NATYCAA helps administer this national awards program. The National Alliance of Two-Year College Administrators (NATYCAA) was established in 1987 and affiliated with NACDA in 1999. NATYCAA is the only professional organization that represents athletics administrators from all two-year institutions of higher education in the United States.
