National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A) has selectedÂ
Ashton Henderson, director of diversity, equity and inclusion for the Detroit Pistons, as President for the 2021-22 membership year.

"N4A is the global leader for academic & student-athlete development practitioners and I am immensely honored, excited, and poised to lead our Association into our next phase of growth and development while paying homage to the 46 years of comprehensive excellence we've exhibited as an Association," stated Henderson. "Our theme throughout this year will be Energy, Empathy & Empowerment, and you'll see each of those themes weaved into every element of our programming and brand activations moving forward. N4A is a family, and I am excited for the opportunity to reunite our family in Las Vegas, as we plan for both an in-person Convention as well as a virtual experience in 2022. I am elated to serve the Association that has given so much to me and I look forward to constant growth, camaraderie and supporting our members daily."
Henderson takes over forÂ
Ursula Gurney, deputy AD/SWA at University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), who will move into the role of Immediate Past President. Additionally,
Jackie Nicholson, executive director of intercollegiate athletics at Rochester Institute of Technology and
Dr. Kayleigh McCauley-Sayer, executive director of the Center for Social Change and Community Involvement at Lewis & Clark College; will join the N4A Officer ranks as the new 1
st and 2
nd Vice President, respectively.
