CLEVELAND - The National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) has announced the University of Texas as its 2021 Marketing Team of the Year Award (MTOY) recipient, presented by SuperFan.

In its ninth year, the nominations for the Marketing Team of the Year Award spanned across various institutions throughout our Association's membership. The two finalists for the 2021 MTOY were the University of Maryland and Ole Miss.
"On behalf of NACMA, it is my honor to recognize the University of Texas as the 2020-21 Marketing Team of the Year Award," stated Michael Thompson, current NACMAÂ President and deputy athletics director at Texas A&M University. "Their staff's exemplary work to engage their fans in creative ways during this unprecedented year was remarkable. As always, the quality of work demonstrated in this year's submissions from schools across the nation was incredibly impressive, and we thank SuperFan for their continued support of this prestigious award."
The Marketing Team of the Year Award was created by NACMA to show the significant impact a marketing team has not only on the athletics department, but the campus and surrounding community. The selection committee was made up of NACMA Past Presidents. The University of Texas was announced as winner during the 2021 NACMA Virtual Awards Ceremony on June 10. They will receive the prestigious Marketing Team of the Year award to keep in their offices in the coming weeks.
