CLEVELAND — The National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A) membership has elected Marissa Edwards, academic counselor - football at Kansas State University, and Dr. Ron Moses, associate athletics director for student-athlete services/chief diversity officer at Old Dominion University, as the new Region Directors.
Edwards will serve as the director for Region IV, while Moses will serve Region II. The duo will begin their term at the 2021 N4A Virtual National Convention.
"We welcome to our Board two new outstanding members - Marissa Edwards and Ron Moses. We look forward to their leadership and their perspectives on the Board," said N4A President Ursula Gurney, deputy director of athletics/SWA, University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). We appreciate our membership who continue to step up as leaders in our Association allowing us to continue our advancement."
The N4A Region Directors serve a two-year term and actively participate on the Board of Directors, led by Gurney and:Â 1st VP Ashton Henderson, assistant athletics director for development & leadership, Florida State University; 2nd VP Jackie Nicholson, associate athletics director for academic services/SWA, Albany State University; and Past President Denise Poole, director, student success initiatives, Penn State University. Also serving on the N4A Board of Directors are: Adam Hatem (Clemson), Dr. Kacy King (Florida State), Mark Trumbo (Syracuse), Dr. Ashley Kuhn (Florida Gulf Coast), Dr. Kayleigh McCauley-Sayer (Lewis & Clark), Dr. Joe Luckey (Cincinnati), Jessica Goerke (UC Santa Barbara), Erica Cenci (Washington), Dr. Joe Scogin (Tennessee), Mindy Reger (NYU), Dr. Brian Russell (Illinois), Marisol Quiroz (Arizona), Kim Durand (Washington), Kimya Massey (Oregon State), and Dr. Ryan Westman (NYU).
