When did you join MOAA? 2015

Name something about you most people don't know.
Proud Bajan. Lived in Germany, California, Maryland, New Hampshire and Pittsburgh growing up.

If you hadn't chosen a profession in athletics, what would your profession be?
Politics. Love helping people, constantly yearning for growth and ways to make things better. In college I had the unbelievable opportunity to get heavily involved with the Obama Campaign. That was a great time in my life and if it weren't for the opportunity to help young men and women via athletics, I would definitely be in politics.

What is one of the greatest aspects of being involved in athletics?
Being able to impact the kids. In collegiate athletics, you get the honor of guiding these outstanding young men and women during the most formidable years of their adult lives. Beyond grateful to be able to pass along as much wisdom and insight as possible.

What is the theme song playing in your head when you have to get something tough done?
Milestone- Miles Davis

If you could spend one day with a sports guru, dead or alive, who would it be? Why?
Muhammad Ali. Much more than just a sports conversation. A very smart and adaptive man. A man who understood his platform, willing to sacrifice personal gain for the greater good. The wisdom and insight from that day would be invaluable.

What is your favorite movie? Why?
Finding Forrester. Shows how societal prejudices of young black males are often offensively incorrect. Great representation of a high profile athlete who balances his academic gifts and achievements.

What is the last thing someone has come back and thanked you for professionally?
Being an ear for them to talk to. Providing mentorship.

Best thing your mentor told you?
Be grateful, have fun and take care of others

Fill in the blank: I wished I would have_______.
... had more time with all my loved ones who are no longer with us on earth. Besides that, no regrets!
