CEFMA Announces 2018-19 Officers and Board of Directors

Penner takes over as CEFMA President for the 2018-19 academic year
 

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The members of the Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association (CEFMA) have selected Mike Penner, senior associ athletics director internal operations at The Ohio State University, as President for the 2018-19 year.

"This is an exciting time to be a part of CEFMA!" exclaimed Penner. "As we celebrate our 10th birthday as an organization, we continue to offer more educational and networking opportunities and set new records for the number of members and Convention attendees. I am so honored to serve along my fellow Board members and represent so many wonderful collegiate event and facility managers. I appreciate the contributions of the NACDA staff, all of our Past Presidents and Board members, our corporate partners and our volunteers who make CEFMA so great. I really look forward to spending another remarkable year working with our team to advance our goals and serve our membership."

Penner replaces Past President April Messerly, who served during the 2017-18 year. In addition to Penner, CEFMA has selected Matt Oberlin, assistant athletics director for event management at UCF as 1st Vice President and Justin Newell, assistant athletics director for facilities at Kenyon College as 2nd Vice President. CEFMA welcomes Keisha Dunlap, chief operating officer at Conference USA as 3rd Vice President for the 2018-19 year.

Working alongside the CEFMA Officers will be the Board of Directors, comprised of Tim Baron, associate athletics director for facilities & operations at Grand Canyon University; Mike Beirne, director of event management at the University of Oklahoma; Brad Brown, associate athletics director for internal operations at the United States Military Academy; Julie Cribbs, associate director of game/event management at LSU; Derek Doolittle, associate athletics director - facilities and capital projects at UCLA; Katie Egloff, senior director of operations at Purdue University; Kelsie Gory, assistant athletics director and SWA at Johns Hopkins University; JD Loudabarger, associate athletics director for athletics operations & facilities at Arizona State University; Jamie Mitchell, associate athletics director for event management & facilities at Colgate University; Holly Stalcup, associate athletics director for event management at the University of Illinois.
