The Allstate NACDA Good Works Team is made up of 60 student-athletes (20 per season) across all sanctioned men’s and women’s college sports and divisions who go above and beyond in volunteerism and civic engagement, complementing their achievements in academics and sports.

Allyson Alden is a graduate student and beach volleyball athlete at Boise State University who is dedicated to advancing mental health awareness among young people. She launched Allyson Alden’s Block Party, a season long fundraising initiative that donates pledges for every ace or block she records to BroncoBOLD’s High School Ambassador Program, empowering students to lead mental health efforts in their schools. Drawing from her own experiences, Allyson uses sport as a platform to promote resilience, reduce stigma, and encourage open conversations around mental health. An all-conference honoree consistently recognized for her academics, she is committed to making an impact both on and off the court. |

Shelby Bavin

 Shelby Bavin is a senior coxswain at the University of Virginia (UVA) who has demonstrated extraordinary dedication to emergency services and community leadership. She has volunteered more than 2,000 hours as a firefighter and EMT, responding to emergency calls and serving the greater Charlottesville community with professionalism and compassion. Beyond emergency response, Shelby serves in many other communities. She is deeply involved with Athletes in Action (FCA) and co led UVA’s Operation Christmas Child initiative, delivering hundreds of gift boxes to children in need around the world. Additionally, she leads a Bible Study for the rowing team, has supported nonprofit organizations as a grant reviewer through UVA’s Champions of the Community program, and coaches local youth to promote teamwork and sportsmanship. A recognized servant leader, she is a recipient of the ACC Top Six for Service Award and consistently exemplifies integrity and commitment both on and off the water.

 Olivia Black is a graduate student and softball player at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) whose leadership has driven meaningful community impact across Southwest Florida. As Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Community Service Chair and President, she has organized initiatives addressing food insecurity, healthcare access, youth development, and disaster response, while also leading long term service at Golisano Children’s Hospital and mentoring young athletes through FGCU Softball clinics. Olivia’s most sustained impact has come through Habitat for Humanity, where she has mobilized teammates and helped build two homes for families in need, contributing hands on support from construction to key presentation. A steady leader on and off the field, Olivia exemplifies community resilience through service, mentorship, and action.

Sean Casey is a senior golfer at the University of Michigan-Dearborn who is deeply committed to serving underserved communities through his volunteer work at Detroit’s Cabrini Clinic, where he assists in providing medical care to uninsured Hispanic patients. Fluent in Spanish and pursuing a path in medicine, Sean uses his skills to support patients with compassion and dignity. He is a consistent Dean’s List student and a recognized academic leader, earning honors such as NAIA Scholar-Athlete and WHAC All Academic Team. In 2025, Sean was awarded both the Dearborn Difference Maker Award and the Daniel E. Little Civic Engagement and Community Service Award for his outstanding dedication to community service.

Skylar Ciccolini is a graduate student in outdoor track and field at the University of Missouri who is deeply committed to serving underserved populations. She has dedicated hundreds of service hours to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness through her long term involvement with Turning Point Homeless Center, including organizing Someone Else’s Shoes, a multi-year shoe drive providing essential resources to those in need. Skylar has also contributed to food insecurity relief efforts, youth mentorship programs, and community outreach through local schools and service organizations. A nationally accomplished athlete and academic honoree, she consistently uses her platform to uplift and support those most in need. |

Andrew Fang is a senior tennis student-athlete at Binghamton University who is committed to mentoring youth and expanding access to sport through tennis. He has served in leadership roles with Tennis Charities of Binghamton, including the Game, Set, Grow! and PLAAY programs, where he mentors middle school students, leads on court activities, and helps expose youth to higher education opportunities. Andrew also secured grant funding to provide long term tennis equipment for the PLAAY program, ensuring sustained access to quality programming for local youth. A standout competitor and scholar, he is an Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar and Rafael Osuna Sportsmanship Award recipient and a member of Binghamton’s Scholars Program. |

DJ Freese is a graduate student golfer at Columbia College who has demonstrated a sustained commitment to youth mentorship and golf development through service, coaching, and leadership. He has mentored young athletes through summer camps, junior golf programs with the South Carolina Junior Golf Association, and internships supporting tournament operations and player development. DJ also played a pivotal role in rebuilding high school golf programs at Abbeville and Dixie High Schools, helping reestablish Dixie’s program and guiding it to a state championship in its first year back. Academically and athletically driven, he holds dual undergraduate degrees, is pursuing two master’s degrees, and has recorded multiple top 25 collegiate finishes while continuing to serve the game in leadership roles.

 Isaiah Frost is a graduate student baseball player at the University of Missouri who is committed to youth mentorship and community engagement. He has dedicated significant service to Columbia Public Schools as a recess and lunch mentor, supporting elementary students through school based outreach, holiday initiatives, and MLK Day of Service programming. Isaiah has also contributed through Mizzou Athletics and local nonprofits, volunteering with food banks, youth organizations, animal welfare initiatives, and community service events. A consistent academic leader, he is a multi-year Dean’s List student and SEC Academic Honor Roll honoree who leads through service both on and off the field.

Through leadership roles in organizations such as Circle K International, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and The Hidden Opponent, she has led fundraising, advocacy, and hands on service initiatives supporting children, women, refugees, and underserved communities locally and globally. Yasmin also fosters mental wellness and belonging on campus through initiatives centered on stress relief, inclusion, and student engagement, while serving as a campus ambassador and mentor. Aaron Jones is a sophomore baseball student-athlete at Surry Community College who exemplifies leadership, service, and character both on campus and in the community. As President of the Student Government Association and President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), he has played a key role in fostering a culture of service and faith-based leadership, leading initiatives that support fellow students and strengthen campus engagement. Aaron is actively involved with organizations such as the Foothills Food Pantry, local homeless shelters, nursing homes, and youth outreach programs, where he consistently gives his time to serve others. He also mentors younger students through middle school visits and faith based leadership initiatives and supports inclusive events like the Special Olympics and Senior Games. A leader on and off the field, Aaron is a President’s List student, NJCAA Region 10 All Academic honoree, and a contributor to SCC Baseball’s run to the NJCAA World Series. He was also recognized as a finalist for the N4CSGA Outstanding Community Service Award.

Regan Kelly is a senior lacrosse student-athlete at Hartwick College whose commitment to cancer advocacy and service is deeply personal. Inspired by her father’s life saving bone marrow transplant, Regan helped lead an NMDP (formerly Be The Match) Get in the Game registry drive on campus, adding dozens of new potential donors and ultimately helping generate a life saving match. Her leadership created a powerful full circle moment for her team and community, demonstrating the real world impact of service rooted in personal experience. A team captain and resilient leader, Regan exemplifies how compassion, advocacy, and action can truly save lives.

 Jacy Knox is a junior softball student-athlete at the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy (UHSP) who is deeply committed to serving others through her leadership with the American Red Cross. Selected as one of just 13 students nationwide for the Red Cross Collegiate Leadership Program, Jacy returned to campus as a Blood Program Leader and successfully organized two record breaking blood drives, collecting 80 units of blood and helping save up to 240 lives. Beyond the Red Cross, she volunteers extensively with hospitals and children’s organizations, supporting patients and families through hands on service. A recognized leader and scholar, Jacy consistently uses her platform to create life saving impact within her campus and community.

Gray Mitchum is a graduate student golfer at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) whose leadership and compassion made a profound impact on his team and community through cancer awareness advocacy. After his assistant coach was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Gray organized and led a fundraising campaign that raised more than $30,000 to support the coach and his family, while also creating awareness initiatives within the golf community. His efforts helped unite teammates, alumni, and supporters around a shared cause and demonstrated exceptional servant leadership. A respected leader on and off the course, Gray is a CAA champion, Second Team All CAA honoree, and recipient of UNCW’s Soaring Seahawk Award for integrity, character, and inspiration.

 Kamden O’Connor is a junior student-athlete in outdoor track and field at Rice University who is deeply committed to serving individuals who are often overlooked in the community. He has dedicated nearly 2,000 service hours to Camp Blessing Texas, where he serves as both a cabin leader and clinician, providing full time care and medical support for campers with special needs. Kamden also volunteers at Houston Methodist Hospital through Team CLARITY, where he supports elderly patients and was recognized as Volunteer of the Month and Volunteer of the Year for his compassion and impact. As Community Service Chair for Rice’s SAAC, he led campus wide initiatives addressing food insecurity, mobilizing hundreds of student-athletes and generating thousands of donations for the Houston Food Bank. |

As Vice President of Philanthropy and Tennis Events, she led the creation of a Rollins Tennis Pro Am benefiting Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital, establishing the program’s first formal partnership with Orlando Health. Annie managed event planning, partnerships, and athlete engagement to unite both the men’s and women’s teams around a shared philanthropic mission. Through leadership and sport, she uses tennis as a platform to support children and families navigating serious illness.

Ellen also supports student learning and accessibility as a teaching assistant, supplemental instruction leader, and notetaker for deaf and hard of hearing students, creating inclusive learning environments grounded in empathy and persistence. Brooke Stayner is a graduate student in outdoor track and field at the University of Montana whose service is rooted in healthcare advocacy, education, and lifesaving action. As a stem cell donor and national advocate with NMDP’s Get in the Game initiative, Brooke completed a nine hour donation procedure that helped save the life of an individual with leukemia and has since worked to recruit fellow student athletes to the national registry. She also serves her campus and community as a teaching assistant in anatomy and physiology, a hospital volunteer, and a mentor dedicated to strengthening healthcare access and understanding. Recognized for both service and scholarship, Brooke exemplifies a lifelong commitment to advocacy, empathy, and action in healthcare.

CJ Smith is a junior tennis student-athlete at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) whose service is rooted in showing up for others and building meaningful connections. As a SAAC representative, he has played a central role in leading FGCU’s partnership with Team IMPACT, helping foster a genuine, ongoing relationship between the men’s tennis program and honorary teammate Caleb Ziegelbauer. CJ ensured Caleb was fully integrated into the team experience through regular communication, practice involvement, and consistent support, creating a lasting sense of belonging for both Caleb and the program. Beyond Team IMPACT, CJ contributes through campus and community initiatives that promote inclusion, support children in need, and strengthen community connection.

He has supported a wide range of initiatives including children’s hospital toy drives, book donation programs, food bank efforts, adaptive recreation activities, and partnerships with organizations such as Team IMPACT, Make A Wish, and youth sports camps. Working closely with campus and national SAAC, Gabe helps create meaningful connections between student athletes and young people across the Detroit community. A strong scholar athlete, he is a Division II2 ADA Academic Achievement Award recipient, GLIAC All Academic honoree, and an aspiring medical school student who leads through service on and off the field. |
