The Allstate NACDA Good Works Team is made up of 60 student-athletes (20 per season) across all sanctioned men’s and women’s college sports and divisions who go above and beyond in volunteerism and civic engagement, complementing their achievements in academics and sports.

Lillian Avalos

Lillian Avalos is a junior on the Vanguard University women’s wrestling team and a dedicated student-athlete, holding a 3.64 cumulative GPA. She has earned NAIA All-American honors, highlighted by a 4th-place finish at the NAIA National Championships and a 30-12 career record. Beyond the mat, Lillian is a three-year fellow with College Corps, a California state program that supports students who serve their communities while pursuing a debt free pathway through college. Through this fellowship, she volunteers 15–20 hours each week with Meals on Wheels at the Costa Mesa Senior Citizens Center, delivering meals and support to local seniors. Her commitment to excellence in both service and sport reflects her leadership, discipline, and passion for uplifting others. |

Connor Barket

 Connor Barket has served as a three-year team captain. Connor has demonstrated exceptional leadership both on and off the mat while serving as a member of Duke Athletics’ Greg Dale Advancing Leaders Program. He is the president and co-founder of the Rising Athletes Foundation, a Duke-based nonprofit that provides tutoring, mentoring, and financial assistance to local high school student-athletes. Connor extended his service internationally in 2024 as a member of Duke’s ACE in Panama Program, spending 10 days supporting a Panamanian elementary schools through after school programming. As a 2025 ACE Ambassador, Connor is helping recruit, promote and fundraise for future service trips. His service makes a local impact through volunteer work with the Ronald McDonald House, SEEDS, the Emily K. Center and by running wrestling camps and practices for youth. A 2025 NCAA Championship qualifier, two-time NWCA All-American Scholar, Connor exemplifies a deep commitment to leadership and service.

Ava Bayless

 Ava Bayless is an honors student currently pursuing a Human Physiology major on the Pre Med track. A member of the program’s inaugural recruiting class, she has distinguished herself academically as a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, Academic All-Big Ten honoree, NWCA Scholastic All American, and multiple time Dean’s List and President’s List recipient. Beyond athletics and academics, Ava is deeply committed to service, completing over 40 hours of community engagement in the fall of 2025 and representing Iowa on both the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)—where she serves on the Executive Committee—and the Big Ten Student-Athlete Issues Commission. Her service includes a three week immersion in rural Vietnam through Coach for College and leadership as Iowa’s first Team Impact Fellow, where she organized the university’s inaugural Team IMPACT 5K. Recognized for her impact, she is the University of Iowa’s female nominee for the Big Ten Jackie Robinson Community Impact Award.

Audi Crooks

Audi Crooks has earned national recognition as an AP and USBWA All American and appears consistently on the Naismith, Wooden, Wade Trophy, and Lisa Leslie Award watch lists. A dominant force, she has collected numerous Player of the Week honors and established herself as one of the most impactful centers in Division I. Off the court, Audi is equally influential as the founder of the Audi Crooks Foundation, which empowers youth through education, athletics, and the arts. Her initiatives—including support for Boys & Girls Clubs, food security programs, and her widely praised “Knock N Dash” care package effort—have mobilized entire communities and inspired young volunteers across Kossuth County. Balancing elite athletic performance with meaningful service, Audi continues to elevate both her team and the people she serves.

Ashtin Elder

Alongside being a two-time All-CCIW honoree and multi-year Academic All-Conference selection, Ashtin Elder is also an award winning photographer recognized nationally for his creative work. Beyond athletics and academics, Ashtin runs a successful photography business while serving extensively at Eastview Christian Church, where he mentors youth, volunteers in the nursery, and creates digital content. His commitment to service extends globally through mission initiatives, including sponsoring a student in Kenya and supporting sports outreach programs. Ashtin also gives back to his hometown community by offering free photography classes and engaging in local outreach efforts. |

Cross country and track & field student-athlete Emma Gaston excels as both a scholar and campus leader at the University of Indianapolis. A dedicated servant, she supports individuals with end stage dementia and Alzheimer’s at Joy’s House, a nonprofit serving adults living with life-altering diagnoses and their families. Her commitment to care extends to her work as a medical camp counselor at Bradford Woods, her fundraising leadership for the Jackson Center—where she helped raise over $110,000—and her service at multiple camps supporting children and families navigating disability or grief. On campus, Emma has held multiple roles within UIndy SAAC, where she now serves as President and helped launch the Hounds Leadership Academy. She was the only student-athlete selected to serve on the latest University’s Athletics Director Search Committee and is currently implementing a campus-wide action plan to prevent substance misuse and hazing after attending the 2025 APPLE Training Institute. Academically distinguished, Emma is a multi scholarship recipient, a member of several honor societies, a 10 time letterwinner, and a three time Academic All GLVC honoree. |

JJ Gray

JJ Gray has been named a two-time All-NCAC performer, the 2023-24 NCAC Rookie and the Year, and the D3Hoops Region 7 Rookie of the Year, all while maintaining a 3.9 GPA as an economics major. JJ is deeply committed to community service, working alongside his teammates with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to raise funds and build beds for children in Lorain County who are living in poverty and without a safe place to sleep. He is also the founder of the Oberlin Asian Student-Athlete Group, a campus organization dedicated to supporting and highlighting the achievements of Asian student-athletes at Oberlin and across the country. JJ’s leadership, compassion and dedication to create meaningful impact reaches far beyond athletics.

 Camden Hyde is a campus leader known for founding The Alternative, a fast growing student organization that offers a positive, community focused alternative to the typical college social scene through Bible studies, worship nights, and service projects. Camden also leads faith based volunteer efforts, including feeding the homeless and mentoring local youth. Academically, he excels with a 3.95 GPA and athletically he has contributed to two NCAA playoff basketball teams while also earning All SCIAC first team honors in the high jump. His impact on campus and in the community reflects a rare blend of leadership, service, and competitive excellence.

Ingrid Janney

 Ingrid Janney excels academically with a 3.956 GPA and multiple Dean’s List and Commissioner’s Honor Roll honors. Growing up near Newtown, Connecticut, she was deeply shaped by the Sandy Hook tragedy and has spent the past several years honoring the lives lost by volunteering with the Race4Chase Kids Triathlon Program, where she teaches children how to swim, bike, and run. Her passion for water safety extends beyond the program—Ingrid teaches swim lessons at her local country club and spends up to 15 hours a week coaching young swimmers through the Wilmington Swim Academy. Her dedication to working with children has inspired her to pursue a career in elementary education, using swimming as a tool for healing and empowerment. In the pool, she is a key contributor for UNCW, earning finalist finishes at the 2025 CAA Championships and helping the Seahawks capture the conference team title.

Flau'jae Johnson

Flau’jae Johnson has earned First Team All SEC honors and multiple All America recognitions while competing in one of the nation’s toughest conferences. Off the court, she has logged more than 170 community service hours, dedicating much of her time to the Empower 225 Dream Center and the Miracle League in Baton Rouge. She frequently uses her NIL platform to give back, donating to organizations such as the Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, and supporting single mothers in both Baton Rouge and her hometown of Savannah. Flau’jae is also known for her personal acts of service, from bringing meals to individuals experiencing homelessness to honoring her late grandmother by donating $1 for every LSU student at the annual Play4Kay game. Her blend of athletic excellence and heartfelt community impact has made her one of the most influential student athletes in the SEC.

Icy Keneah

Icy Keneah has been a four year varsity member and was elected team captain for the 2025-26 season. Off the court, she is the co founder and president of the Sock Society, an initiative she launched in high school and expanded at Washington and Lee University to provide new, high quality socks to shelters in Richmond, Lexington, and Buena Vista. Under her leadership, the organization has grown into a vibrant campus movement, hosting creative donation events—including the popular “Sock grams”—that engage students while supporting community members in need. Academically, Icy is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, a William A. Jenks Scholarship recipient and serves a senior community assistant for Residence Life, with additional experience studying abroad in Nepal and as a panel speaker for the W&L Friends of the Library Symposium. Her blend of leadership, service, and academic excellence has made her an influential presence both on campus and in the wider community.

Franck Kepnang

 Franck Kepnang is known for his defensive presence and resilience through injury setbacks. Beyond the court, he is a campus and conference leader, serving as University of Washington’s (UW) representative on the Big Ten Student-Athlete Issues Commission and 2025-26 Jackie Robinson Community & Impact Award. Franck founded the Franck & Family Foundation, through which he supports orphanages in Cameroon and provides care packages to people experiencing homelessness, while also engaging in local outreach through the Black Student-Athlete Alliance and Seattle community programs. His global perspective was further shaped by a study abroad experience in Ghana focused on Pan-African history and education. Academically accomplished, he holds a degree in Geography: Data Science and is pursuing a Master’s in Information Management as he plays in his final collegiate season.

Molly Kroeger

Molly Kroeger has emerged as one of the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) swimming and diving program’s most accomplished student athletes, becoming UIC’s first MVC Champion and setting a school record in the 500 freestyle with an NCAA B cut time. A biomedical engineering major with a perfect 4.0 GPA, she has earned consistent academic honors, including MVC Scholar Athlete recognition, Dean’s List distinction every semester, and selection to multiple national academic teams. Beyond the pool and classroom, Molly serves as a Team IMPACT Student Fellow, leading major service initiatives across Chicago and organizing events such as the All In 5K and the UIC x Team IMPACT Awareness Game. Her volunteer work spans youth programming, cancer research fundraising, water safety education, and campus wide service efforts through SAAC, where she helped collect over 1,750 items for UIC’s Pop up Pantry. Molly’s blend of athletic excellence, academic achievement, and community leadership makes her a standout representative of UIC and the Missouri Valley Conference.

Tamin Lipsey

 Tamin Lipsey has emerged as one of the Big 12’s premier defenders and a nationally recognized student-athlete. Off the court, he serves as a YSS Ambassador, using his platform to champion youth mental health, mentorship, and community support in his hometown of Ames. His involvement ranges from volunteering at supply drives and engaging with youth in shelters to promoting YSS initiatives and inspiring young people through personal connection. Athletically, he is an All-Big 12 First Team selection, Iowa State’s all-time steals leader, and a finalist or watch-list honoree for several national awards. Namu Makatiani is a multi-time NCAA qualifier, school record holder, and team captain competing in the NCAC. His commitment to service spans from hands on patient care as a State Tested Nursing Assistant in Oberlin to clinical volunteer work supporting HIV positive children at Nyumbani Children’s Home in Nairobi. On campus, he leads and uplifts communities through roles such as BSAG SAAC Liaison, MAPS Co Chair, Resident Assistant, and Lead Coordinator for the Center for Learning, Engagement and Research. Namu is also an accomplished scholar and researcher, earning multiple USTFCCCA Academic All-America honors while contributing to organic chemistry research and STEM education initiatives. Oliver Mayer is steadily building an impressive résumé highlighted by top-10 performances in program history in the indoor weight throw and outdoor discus. Beyond athletics, he is deeply committed to service, volunteering with the Aruna Project to support survivors of human trafficking and assisting with community outreach efforts at Our Daily Bread. His work includes helping run awareness events, supporting fundraising initiatives, and preparing meals for individuals experiencing food insecurity. Oliver also serves as the SAAC representative for men’s track and field, where he advocates for student athlete well being and helps coordinate campus wide service projects. Sidney Morris

Sidney Morris is a two-time conference champion, team captain, and a key contributor to multiple SIAC victories. Rooted in a lifelong commitment to service shaped by his South Side Chicago upbringing, he has carried that passion to Morehouse by founding PIES—a holistic wellness and faith based initiative that now serves students across the Atlanta University Center. Through weekly check ins, campus partnerships, and community collaborations, Sidney has helped dozens of students access mental health resources, service opportunities, and personal development tools. His leadership also extends beyond campus as he mentors peers at other institutions who have adopted the PIES model. A Dean’s List scholar pursuing a degree in business finance and the Advocacy Chair for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), Sidney exemplifies the Morehouse mission through service, scholarship, and transformative leadership.

Teuila Nawahine

Teuila Nawahine is a senior women’s basketball student-athlete whose commitment to her community shines through her leadership and service. She helps organize after-school activities for local elementary students, welcoming them to campus for fun and educational experiences. Teuila demonstrated her leadership by organizing a large service event with more than 100 participants, where volunteers created educational kits for local elementary students, made blankets and treats for the Utah Humane Society, and created seasonal cards and decorations for residents of Friendship Manor. She took the lead in identifying nonprofit partners, promoting the event across campus, and gathering all supplies. Along with her impact in the community, Teuila has earned RMAC Preseason All-Conference honors for her success on the court.

Ciara Norman

Ciara Norman has been a key rotation player for four years and a Northeast-10 All Rookie Team honoree. A powerful campus leader, she served as President of the Bentley Black Student Athlete Coalition from the spring of 2024 to the summer of 2025, where she revitalized the organization, expanded membership by 80 percent, and created new mentorship, networking, and community building initiatives for black student-athletes. Ciara also mentors peers through Athletes in Action, supports incoming students of color as a Mosaic Ambassador, and conducts advocacy driven research with the Resilient Sisterhood Project to address disparities in black women’s reproductive health. Her service extends into the broader community through volunteer work with the Watertown Boys and Girls Club, the RACE Cancer Foundation, and the St. Jude Walk-a-thon. Recognized for her academic excellence and impact on campus life, Ciara is a distinguished member of Bentley’s Falcon Society.

Michael Wood

Michael Wood has earned A 10 All Conference honors, competed twice at NCAA Zone A, and contributed key points to George Washington’s conference championship run. Beyond the pool, he has dedicated over 100 hours to Grassroots Health, a Washington, D.C. nonprofit focused on advancing health equity through education in local middle schools. As a trained coach, he teaches sixth and seventh graders about nutrition, sexual health, and mental well being, while also serving as a mentor and positive role model. His commitment to youth development is reflected in the meaningful relationships he has built with students across more than 10 programs citywide. A four-time Dean’s List honoree and CSC Academic All-District selection, Michael exemplifies excellence in service, academics, and athletics. |
