The Allstate NACDA Good Works Team is made up of 60 student-athletes (20 per season) across all sanctioned men’s and women’s college sports and divisions who go above and beyond in volunteerism and civic engagement, complementing their achievements in academics and sports.

Carter is an exceptional student-athlete and three-year team captain, known for his leadership and commitment to service. He leads weekly Bible studies through Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), helped raise $36,000 for a mission trip to Panama, and launched PROJECT CHRISTMAS to support over 300 people in Houston each year. From mentoring youth at the Boys & Girls Club to serving in the Dominican Republic, Carter’s impact earned him a spot on the 2024 SEC Community Service Team and the honor of speaking at Texas A&M's athletics graduation ceremony.
Jonah Barber

Jonah is a dedicated student-athlete with a 3.87 GPA, a school record in the 4x800m relay and two NCAA Cross Country Academic All-American honors. Off the track, he has made a lasting impact as a literacy intern with Make Way for Books, a Spanish teacher through Oberlin's SITES Program and a sustainability leader on the Green EDGE Fund board. Whether mentoring as a writing tutor or amplifying student voices as a senior staff writer, Jonah leads with purpose, creativity and heart.
Taylor Chepren

Taylor is a natural leader who balances athletic excellence with a deep commitment to service, mentoring youth at Woodbury Park and organizing holiday support for hundreds of families. She champions causes like Boldly Gold Pediatric Cancer Foundation and Morgan's Message, while leading campus efforts through Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) initiatives that have supported local hospitals and food banks. A three-time Atlantic East All-Academic Team honoree and 2024 All-Conference selection, Taylor is as impactful off the field as she is on it.
Nathan Chrismon

Nathan is a 3.8 GPA student-athlete who has appeared in more than 70 Division I baseball games and two NCAA Regionals during his career. Now at Catawba College, he serves as a three-year Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) leader and founder of Stealing Hearts NC, a nonprofit supporting youth through sports, including the "Steal A Base, Steal A Heart" campaign benefitting foster care and mental health services. Whether organizing community events or driving impact on the field, Nathan leads with heart, purpose and a commitment to others.
Filipe Costa

Driven by a passion for service, Filipe is an international student-athlete from Brazil making a global impact—founding Costa Tennis Academy to provide free tennis education to over 60,000 students worldwide, leading community initiatives as Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) President and fostering rescue dogs through No Paws Left Behind. He has also brought joy to children in Athens through events like Learn, Play Excel’s “Spooky Dawgs” mentoring event, Reading Day and local donation drives. A 2023 SEC Champion and two-time SEC First Team All-Academic honoree, he proves that leadership, compassion and excellence know no boundaries—on or off the court.
Tyler Ganus

Tyler, a graduate transfer outfielder and a former Oregon Duck, leads with purpose—mentoring local youth, supporting athletes with disabilities and building community through sport. After overcoming a life-threatening illness, he founded Collegiate Mind Mastery, a national mentorship program pairing Division I student-athletes with high school students and launched Young Champions Training to develop middle schoolers holistically. A former Team IMPACT representative, Tyler continues giving back through fundraising performances benefitting Make-A-Wish and Autism Speaks.
Melody Ghaffari

Melody is a champion for inclusion, using tennis to build confidence for children with autism through ACEing Autism. She launched and now co-leads a chapter at UC Santa Cruz, training student-athletes and running weekly clinics that create joyful, structured spaces for every child to thrive. A Dean's Honors student with a 3.75+ GPA, Melody’s vision and compassion are making sports more inclusive—one child, one clinic, one serve at a time.
Kaylee Hull

Kaylee is a standout student-athlete and servant leader, supporting individuals of all abilities through Ivey Ranch’s therapeutic horse program and mentoring youth through Breakers Lab Softball. She leads campus initiatives as Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) President, delivers care to seniors, children and unhoused individuals through Taiko’s Heartbeat, the Jared Box Project and Project HOPE and represented CSUDH at the 2022 NCAA Leadership Forum. Set to graduate magna cum laude, Kaylee is a CCAA Elite 13 Award Winner, the 2023-24 CSUDH Presidential Award winner and the university’s 2024-25 NCAA Woman of the Year nominee—living proof that compassion and purpose drive true impact.
Ayana Lindsey

Ayana is a student-athlete who uses her platform to uplift others, launching a literacy program with Chicago HOPES for Kids to support children experiencing homelessness. She mentors middle schoolers, volunteers at a domestic violence shelter, fosters rescue animals and brought HOPES to a Northwestern softball game to raise funds and awareness. On the field and in her community, Ayana is a powerful example of purpose in action.
Lola Mancuso

Lola is a standout student-athlete and two-time All-BIG EAST Academic Team honoree who earned 2024 All-BIG EAST Second Team honors and was named 2023 BIG EAST Freshman of the Year. Off the field, she mentors underserved students, assists refugee families and supports individuals with different abilities. From fundraising for rural schools in Argentina to leading youth clinics through Xavier Lacrosse, she uses every platform to inspire and uplift.

Lionel "LJ" leads with heart, faith and purpose—on the track, on campus and in the community. A two-time All-GSAC honoree and team captain, he mentors middle schoolers through Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), serves with YoungLife, hosts foster care weekends and leads worship through his church communities. His summer with CRU Ministries and consistent outreach reflects a life grounded in service, spiritual growth and uplifting others.
Jami Morris

Inspired by her mother’s lymphoma diagnosis, Jami founded Hit Fore Hope, raising over $280,000 in three years to support cancer treatments and patient care. She partners with Seidman Cancer Center leadership in Cleveland, Ohio, to fund innovative solutions and expand impact. A two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree, she competed in a career-high six events in 2023-24, proving her drive on and off the green.  
Roman Nalder

Roman is a remarkable student-athlete, team captain and Dean’s List honoree who leads with purpose on and off the field. He helped shape his lacrosse team’s mission around servant leadership, launching efforts like Lacrosse Out Cancer, a toy drive, youth clinics and a fundraiser that provided $1,200 for food insecure students. While earning his EMT license and preparing for a future in firefighting, Roman continues to build a legacy defined by service, impact and purpose.
Tim Nicholson

Tim is a standout catcher with 88 starts and five Academic Dean's List honors, but it is his off-field leadership that shines brightest. As captain of GW's Dream On 3 team, he has helped raise over $20,000 to create unforgettable experiences for children with life-altering illnesses, personally planning every detail to make their sports dreams come true. A recipient of GW Baseball's "I Got Your Back" Award, Tim also serves through the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and formerly on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), reflecting his deep, consistent commitment to others.
Katie Reeves

Katie is a dedicated advocate for nutrition education and food security, serving organizations like Feed My Starving Children, Open Arms of Minnesota and Wilderness Inquiry to provide culturally relevant meals and support underserved communities. She has developed nutrition lessons for K–5 students, led virtual cooking classes for families and conducted nutrition assessments at the St. Mary's SMMART Clinic. A two-time MIAC Academic All-Conference honoree and WGCA All-America Scholar, Katie pairs academic excellence with purpose-driven service.
Erik Stoxen

Erik is an accomplished student-athlete with a 4.0 GPA, pursuing a degree in commercial aviation. A five-time Dean's List honoree, he leads both on and off the green, dedicating over 115 hours to organizations like the Salvation Army and Special Olympics. Through mentoring youth and tutoring peers, Erik exemplifies excellence and service, making a lasting impact on his community.
Grace Taylor

Grace is a dynamic force of resilience, leadership and impact at Harvard, with 40 career starts, two All-Ivy Honorable Mentions and an Ivy League All-Tournament Team nod. After being diagnosed with a rare thyroid cancer, she raised nearly $12,000 for the MGH AYA Cancer Program while continuing to lead on and off the field. From presenting climate research in Azerbaijan to mentoring through Team IMPACT and volunteering at the Harvard Homeless Shelter, Grace channels her courage into action that reaches far beyond the game.
Sophie Tedesco

Sophie is a passionate advocate for social justice and education, leading weekly creative writing sessions at Cook County Jail and supporting legal action as a Fair Housing Tester for Legal Aid Chicago. A two-time NCAA Outdoor 10K National Qualifier and a member of multiple NCAA Division III Cross Country podium teams, she excels on the track and in the classroom. Her academic honors include a 2024 NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, a Rhodes finalist distinction, Phi Beta Kappa induction and selection as a 2024 Student Marshal.
Andrew Tjoa

Andrew is a champion on the court and in the community. A two-time First Team All-C2C Doubles honoree and 2023 C2C Scholar-Athlete of the Year, he also co-led the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), organizing blood drives, cleanups and cancer fundraisers. From launching ACEing Autism in Santa Cruz to supporting mental health through NAMI Walks, Andrew leads with purpose, compassion and impact.
Lilly Travieso

Lilly, a dynamic graduate student-athlete, is the founder of Empowering Leadership in Latina Athletes (ELLA), a nonprofit uplifting young Latina women through sports and academics. While in undergrad at Cornell, she was a two-time Academic Dean's List honoree, team captain in 2024 and earned Honorable Mention All-Ivy recognition with a.330 batting average. A visionary on and off the field, Lilly is building a legacy of leadership, excellence and impact.
