To apply for the SADev 360, please apply here.
The SADev 360 is a first-of-its-kind comprehensive diagnostic tool designed to evaluate and strengthen student-athlete development programming. Led by experienced N4A consultants, the process captures the voices of staff, practitioners, and key stakeholders through a structured online survey and document review. Consultants analyze the data, identify strengths and growth areas, and deliver actionable recommendations tailored to each institution’s mission, resources, and goals. Conducted entirely virtually, the SADev 360 offers a streamlined, cost-effective assessment that delivers strategic insights institutions can immediately apply.
What is the structure of the SADev 360?
The SADev 360 unfolds in three phases:
Survey & Document Collection: Institutional staff and stakeholders complete an online Qualtrics survey. The survey requests supporting documents, collateral, and other resources to provide context about the institution’s student-athlete development efforts.
Analysis & Report Development: Consultants review survey responses and submitted materials. Key findings are synthesized into a comprehensive strategic report that identifies strengths, opportunities, and actionable areas for growth.
Virtual Debrief & Recommendations: A consultant-led debrief (via video conference) walks institutional leaders through the results. The session includes a presentation of findings, tailored recommendations, and a discussion of implementation strategies.
Â
What is the cost of SADev 360 if done separately from a full Program Review?
The program fee for the SADev 360 for Power 4 institutions is $1,500, and $1,000 for non-Power 4 institutions if chosen as a stand-alone process. This fee covers both the program and consulting services.
Â
What happens once I submit the application for review?
Upon application submission, the NACDA office collaborates with the Institution Coordinator to assign a consultant. Selection considers factors such as institutional size, enrollment, operating budget, number of student-athletes, and conference affiliation. The NACDA office then connects the institution’s campus representative with the consultant to confirm details and next steps.
Â
How is the SADev 360 administered?
The SADev360 is administered via an online
Qualtrics survey distributed to staff and stakeholders. It is followed by consultant data analysis and report preparation. The administration concludes with a
virtual debrief session and delivery of the final report. The report provides key themes and individualized recommendations. The virtual format minimizes disruption while maximizing insight.
What is the time commitment required for the campus representative?
Survey Completion: Typically 1-2 hours per respondent, including time to gather requested documents. The survey is completed in collaboration with the institution coordinator overseeing the program.
Coordination: The campus representative ensures timely survey distribution, collection of resources, and scheduling of the consultant debrief.
Follow-Up: The institution will be asked to complete a follow-up survey to measure experience and impact, and be offered a 6-month post-consultation.
