The CABMA Mentor Me program is a one (1) year program that pairs an experienced athletics business professional (First Line Mentor) with an emerging professional (Protégé) in the industry. Mentor Me is designed to foster professional career and personal growth, as well as encourage an organizational commitment to CABMA by connecting members, empowering them with knowledge, and ultimately allowing them to grow and lead. All Participants receive in-depth training in mentoring techniques and leadership principles.
Criteria to become a First-Line Mentor:
- Be a current, dues-paying member of CABMA.
- Be willing and able to schedule and complete at least four (4) calls/meetings with assigned protégé throughout the course of the year.
- Plans to attend two (2) consecutive CABMA Conventions (Strongly encouraged but not mandatory).

- Be a current, dues-paying member of CABMA.
- Be willing and able to schedule and complete at least four (4) calls/meetings with assigned mentor throughout the course of the year.
- Be willing to initiate conversation about challenges/opportunities, questions, career trends, etc.
- Be proactive and bring a growth-mindset for the year-long program.
- Plans to attend two (2) consecutive CABMA Conventions (Strongly encouraged but not mandatory).
