CLEVELAND – The Division III Commissioners Association (DIIICA) announces two new at-large members of its Executive Committee for the 2026-27 academic year.
 
Heather Benning, executive director at the Midwest Conference (MWC) and Dwayne Hanberry, commissioner at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) begin their two-year tenures on the Executive Committee this July.
 
"We had an amazing group of applicants for these two at-large positions," said Keri Alexander Luchowski, president of the DIIICA. "This vote was both extremely difficult in that all of the applicants would do a great job, and conversely the vote was also easy in that all of the applicants would do a great job!  After a very close voting process, we are thrilled to welcome both Heather and Dwayne to the Executive Committee. They will help us continue a high level of service and leadership to our Association. They both bring a steady and thoughtful leadership style to our group along with a mix of experience at the conference and national levels. We will surely benefit from their experience." 
 
"I would also like to thank Brad Bankston of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and Chris Roekle from the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference for their service to the Executive Committee," stated Alexander Luchowski. "They have added countless hours to their day jobs helping chart the Association through the tumultuous times we have found ourselves the past two years. Their impact was tremendous."
 
Alexander Luchowski, executive director at the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC), is now entering the second year of her two-year term as president of the DIIICA. She took over for Past President Jennifer Dubow, executive director at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), who served as DIIICA President for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 membership years.

Vice President Corey Borchardt, commissioner at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC), also enters his second year as an officer.

The Executive Committee will work to advance and continue to develop the Association. The 2026-27 Executive Committee members include Katie Boldvich, commissioner at the Landmark Conference; and Dan McKane, commissioner at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC).

About the DIIICA: The Division III Commissioners Association became a stand-alone organization in January 1992, after previously serving as a combined group with the Division II Commissioners Association. The association is comprised of 42 NCAA Division III conferences, representing 426 public and private institutions. The purpose of the DIIICA is to empower commissioners to effectively lead their conferences and positively impact Division III intercollegiate athletics by identifying challenges, developing solutions, and taking collective action that reflects the conference perspective.
