DoorDash Teams Up with Learfield and College Football for First-Ever National Partnership

DoorDash is making its biggest move in college sports yet, launching a season-long partnership with NACDA sponsor Learfield and 11 powerhouse football programs including Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rutgers, Stanford, Tennessee, and Texas. The partnership introduces DoorDash Streaks, a new in-app rewards program where fans can unlock discounts of up to 80% and earn $100 in bonus credits just by ordering on Saturdays throughout the season. Whether it's tailgating outside the stadium or ordering wings and drinks from the couch, this season, DoorDash is going all in, serving up game day support wherever fans are.

Q: What led to your decision to invest in college athletics for this campaign?
A: We've shown up in the Super Bowl multiple years now, but there's something about the unrivaled energy of college football. College football is one of the biggest cultural moments of the year, with viewership on the rise and more than 100 millions fans nationwide, spanning generations and regions, and that's exactly where we want DoorDash to be. We're especially seeing momentum among Gen Z fans, who live in what we call "next-gen fandom" where the game lives across both the big screen and social feeds simultaneously. This insight sparked a new in-app program called DoorDash Streaks. This is a new seasonal gamified rewards program that gives football fans new ways to save while doing what they already love to do on Saturdays: order in and watch football.

From campus tailgates to living room watch parties, fans are already turning to us for food, drinks and even grilling supplies. This campaign felt like a natural opportunity to deepen that connection, fuel traditions, and cement DoorDash's part of the college gameday experience.
 
Q: How important is it to connect with the college fans nationally for DoorDash?
A: College fans are some of the most loyal and engaged fandoms across the country. Reaching this audience at scale isn't just about visibility, it's about becoming a part of the experience. Fans are at the root of the season-long campaign.

Through our partnership with Learfield, we're able to work with some of the biggest names in college football from coast to coast, including the iconic mascots and student athletes from powerhouse programs like Alabama, Texas, and Michigan to bring the energy and show how DoorDash can make gamedays even better all season long. On campuses, we're showing up with DashPass perks like fast-lane entry and custom merch at tailgate activations. We're also tapping into the platforms that drive fan culture, including Bleacher Report, CollegeGameDay, Twitch and DraftKings to deepen our presence across the game day experience.
 
Q: Why did you make the decision to invest in NIL as part of this campaign?
A: With the new world of NIL, college sports is at the center of the sports ecosystem. It's opened up new opportunities to support student athletes by giving them a platform to share their stories and deepen their connection with fans through authentic, engaging content. Through our NIL partnership with Learfield, we're able to show up alongside the athletes who represent the spirit of their schools, connecting with fans in a fun, culturally relevant way and making DoorDash part of the game day experience, both on and off the field.

Q: How excited are you for athletes to promote your brand?
A: We've seen firsthand how impactful athlete-led content can be, especially when it authentically captures how DoorDash fits into everyday moments, like an athlete's game day ritual. For this campaign, we're pairing athletes with mascots, which added a creative twist. Mascots are famously silent, but their energy, charisma, and school spirit speak volumes without saying a word. They light up a set, rally fans and help bring our brand to life in a way that feels true to the game. This winning energy encapsulates the joy fans will experience throughout the season of DoorDash Streaks and it's this combination of authenticity, creativity and cultural resonance that makes us so excited about this campaign.
